Does the job but August 11, 2007 Juicer (England) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Keep in mind the distance and steps is all calculated and it does not provide a strap to tie around your chest whilst running All u do is program about how big ur steps are ie 50cms, then set the pace of it by pressing a button each step u take for the first 7 steps and then it will calculate distance and calories burnt i thought id be using it more for those features that its just such a hassle to do it i dont bother and use it for a normal watch
Useful wrist lap timer but... August 20, 2007 The Dude 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you buy this watch use a sweat band on your wrist under the watch straps. Although it says its 50m water resist the sweat will creap in (somehow) and knock out the lap times during an excercise stint. Wearing a sweat band on your wrist under the straps seems to fix this. Ditto to the other guy's comment. The distance measure is only an estimate based on how wide your stride is. It's not a pedometer.
Disappointed June 9, 2008 RedRanger (Scotland) I just recently bought this watch but I must admit to being disappointed. The alarm is fine, the basic stopwatch is fine, but the exercise stopwatch with the pedometer etc is not that great. The watch has a memory, but it only records the data at midnight! You cannot recall any records from the current day until then. There is also no split timing on the exercise stopwatch. The pedometer also only beeps for 15 seconds max which is not much use if you wish to keep time with it for your whole run. Having previously used a Timex Ironman watch, which let you record information as soon as you were finished your run, and recorded all the lap times using the split timing, I am quite disappointed. There is also no countdown function on the watch. Having said all that, the watch does look good and is better quality than the cheaper and lighter str-300, but the str-300's features are perhaps more useful.
