OVERALL A VERY GOOD GAME BUT........(Please read this.) November 11, 2007 Da MAN 54 out of 59 found this review helpful
....This game has a few exceptions that parents should know about for the childrens own good. 1.This game has some parts in it that children are going to be stuck on and are going to be frustrated and annoyed. 2. The game is slightly violent. 3.It may have one or two bad words. I completed this game in four days and I am eleven but that's because im a skilled gamer. This game is probaly suitable for (even though it says 12+ on the box.) kids who are over the age of 13 In the simpsons game play as Bart,Homer,Lisa,Marge AND EVEN MAGGIE!!! I wont give too much away though Level 1 The land of chocolate:You run around chasing the white chocolate rabbit and punching chocolate bunnies! Level 2 Bartman begins: Play as bart or homer and stop the bullies from robbing the museum. Level 3 Around the world in 80 DO'S!:Play as Bart or Homer in a eating contest, that is'nt like any other eating contest you've seen! There are more levels than that though. Story The simpsons find that that they are in a video game set in Springfield and they find out that they have super powers but when Kang and Kodos invade (again!)the simpson's powers aren't strong enough and must find a way to stop the invasion! The things that you can do are so cool like defeat Lard Lad or meet Matt Greoning (In one of the levels.)When you play as Lisa you can play her saxaophone,Bart can turn into Bart Man!,Homer can eat food and turn into a fat blob that rolls around and Marge can control people's minds!!! So the game over all is WICKED AWESOME!!! thanks for reading I hope this information has encouraged you to buy this game.

Like many Simpsons fans out there, I was hoping that this would be the title to turn it around for America's favorite animated family in the video game arena. With two-player co-op and a focus on the humor that has made the show a primetime staple since 1989, The Simpsons Game has everything a fan could want...but not everything it needs to be a fun, interesting game. The biggest problem is illustrated through one of the game's funniest features: the cliche. As you jump and punch your way through each mission, you will encounter hackneyed video game traditions like giant saw blades and pressure pads. Then the Comic Book Guy pops up and calls attention to the blatant unoriginality of these devices ("Ah, the crate. As seen in everything."). While this almost always gets a laugh, pointing out cliches doesn't make them any more fun to play. The development team clearly knew that basic switch puzzles and time trials are tiresome, yet the player is forced to endure them. Even though the goals themselves are sometimes funny, the generic combat and platforming rarely make them fun to complete. There are also dozens of stupid collectibles like coupons and bottlecaps scattered throughout the world. Trust me, they are not worth picking up. I know that I'm not making the game sound great - it isn't - but the important distinction here is unlike most mediocre platformers, you are actually rewarded for bullying through the levels. The comedy is so pervasive and well done that it still makes you want to keep going just to hear a good one-liner or see the next hilarious parody. This is the first licensed game I've seen that captures the essence of its source material so well; it sometimes feels like you are playing an episode of the show (albeit with poor cinematography). For all of its self-referential humour and nods to gaming classics (there are brief segments mimicking the likes of Frogger, Missle Command, Space Invaders, and Wolfenstein 3D), the process of actually playing The Simpsons Game is unfortunately average. The chuckles along the way make it worth the trouble for fans, but unless you're the most ardent Simpson's fan then of the game's redeeming elements will fall on deaf, bored ears.
Not sure, but hoping that it will be better than the previous... October 25, 2007 Idealism (Universe) 9 out of 33 found this review helpful
In The Simpsons Game, Homer, Marge, Bart, and Lisa use exciting, all-new powers to save the world from rising chaos. To help the Simpsons, gamers at home must journey through all of Springfield (as well as vast worlds beyond), vanquish an amazing array of villains, and fight their way through parodies of multiple popular games. It sounds great, but what will the deliver be like? Not the Simpsons MOVIE game take note, but hopefully better than the rest. Notice the 3-D pen marker effect of the game on the video? Keep hoping it will be better than the others! Thanks for reading

i'd like to open by saying that the simpsons rule, as did simpsons road rage and hit & run. but this game? where do i start? the graphics are awful, the camera gives you a massive headache and the gameplay is tiresome. after seeing the adverts for this game i couldn't wait to get my hands on, but even though i began it optimistically, i ended realising it is just a waste of time... if you are trudging through the boring levels you will not be able to do any of the tasks unless you work it out yourself, 'cos it doesn't tell you. please do not buy this game, buy skate, fifa or anything else
