I have all the Zoo Tycoon games and they are great when I heard that marine mania was being bought out for Zoo Tycoon 2 I had to download the demo and see if it was worth buying and believe me it was. This game has great graphics and you can actually swim with the animals as well as train them it's so cool. Buy this game, it's one not to be missed.

i own all the zoo tycoon 2 expansions so far and new nothing about it till i was in a "Game" when i saw it in its shiny case with the orca staring me in the eye i snatched it up falling over with excitment grabbed a 20 note and shoved it into the mans hand.
my fingers were shaking as i opened the packaging i love stratagy game and zoo tycoon in particulal.
The tutorial is informtive and i reckon it should be looked at first .
anyway i found the game superb. i couldnt keep up with it as i placed tank after tank
the graphics are great (for quick gaming on high grapics spec you need a prity quick computer)there are
(with all expansions) over 80 animals available which means 80 enclosure if you want to put them all in which i think is impposible to fitin even in the largest map.
The fact you get to train the animals for shows is also a superb idea also adding to the list of things avilable to do i can honestly find no fault with the game aprt from the fact it may make you spend hours in front of the computer!
a great idea definet buy for the zoo enthusiast looking for a new challlenge

When I heard there was a Marine Mania coming out for Zoo Tycoon 2, I was really excited. I was thrilled when I got my hands on a copy.
But now, I must say I'm rather disappointed with it. There are plenty of new animals, but apart from that, there really is not much else.
There are no marine-themed buildings, and the so-called 'aquariums' you get are just tiny kiosks with fish in them. There is little scenery and only a handful of new maps.
You can put on a show featuring your animals, but first, you have to train them. This takes ages and get frustrating. You can hire a trainer to do it for you, but it takes even longer.
You'll find that the show feature is riddled with bugs. My dolphins 'cannot reach their performance tank,' even though I had a tank portal and nothing was blocking the way. Other times, the prop 'cannot fit into the tank,' even though it is deep enough, wide enough, and takes up about half the friggin' zoo!
All in all, I think the ratings for this expansion are inflated because people have been looking forward to it for so long. Microsoft used to put love and care into ZT2 and its expansions. When you play them, it is fun and enjoyable. But not with this expansion. Playing it seems like a chore - here it was made to cash in on fans of the original Marine Mania and make more money. That was the sole reason this was created. Not because the makers wanted to see us enjoy their product and have fun designing it. They simply made it to make quick cash. And I'm just disappointed.

I loved the Zoo Tycoon games for their brillant informative content and I love animals and always walk round zoos thinking "I can do better than that" or "that cage should be bigger" so its great to design enclosures the way I think they should be!! The dolphin shows are great fun, and you can put all your favourite sea animals in and have your own mini-seaworld!! If you love sea animals, buy this game!
Hint: If you have this game, put the mermaid statue in a tank of water!

Great expansion for a great game, my 8 year old son and I both love to teach the Orca's and Dolphins tricks and put on shows. 20 extra animals here of the marine variety which gives a nice twist to the gameplay of this great game.
Recommended!
