Product Description Once the players have bought their dog, they have to take full care; i.e. feed them, wash them, take them out for walks in the neighborhood, play with them, ad cuddle them. Through the built-in DS microphone, players can also each their dogs voice command-lead tricks ? from the classic ?sit? to the more advanced ?backflip?. Once players have trained their puppy up, they can enroll their dog into competitions to prove their talent and earn prize money. There are three different type of competition: an obedience trial, a Frisbee-catching contest, and an obstacle course (against time). With the competition earnings, the player can buy food, toys, and accessories for their dog. It is possible to buy and own up to three puppies at any single time. Amazon.co.uk Review In a nutshell: The ultimate evolution of virtual pet: Nintendogs gives you opportunity to preen and look after a selection of cute puppies in a virtual home, with virtual currency, where you can buy toys and accessories for their enjoyment. You can clean the pups, feed them, walk them, play catch with them, and even talk to them. The lowdown: Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders. Most exciting moment: After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk. Since you ask: You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'. The bottom line: A Nintendog is not just for Christmas. Jonti Davies

Dalmation - a great addition to Nintendogs! June 4, 2006 Melon 84 out of 88 found this review helpful
This is a great addition to the Nintendogs group! And don't worry, you can still connect with people who have the other versions of Nintendogs. Is basiclly the same game but with the cutest breed as one of the starting breeds. The other starting breeds are Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier and Beagle. You then can unlock a further 12 breeds through training points and 2 breeds through finding items on a walk, Jack Russell Terrier (item: Jack Russell's Book) and Shiba Inu (item: Japanese Collar). Initial room design of the flat is 'Early American'. In the room design shop at the begining there is The Northern European Style, Designer's Mansion and Japanese-style Room. There are 3 hidden rooms. There is one item available from the begining, the firemans hat. There are well over 100 items for you to collect and buy. I think this is a perfect pal for a Nintendo DS or a Nintendo DS Lite. I would give it 10/10 every time!
Marvellous fun July 2, 2006 Dave (England) 33 out of 41 found this review helpful
The only real niggle I have with this masterpiece is the limit to what can be accomplished each day (you can only enter up to three tournaments and teach your dog one or two new tricks each day) which makes extended play impossible. However as a brief diversion from the hectic mundanity of everyday life it's perfect. And the dogs are REALLY cute! It must be noted that the novelty value wears off very quickly, and once it does you're left with nada.
For those who have never played... May 30, 2006 Francisco Joao Calado (Portugal) 30 out of 74 found this review helpful
Thias game is another version of the fun game nintendogs...if you have played one of the other versions you probably got bored in a couple of weeks...so this game is pretty much like the others...i only recomend it for those buying now a ds or ds lite and want to try the ds best game...
Nintendogs-fun but only for a while...... September 23, 2006 Flian (UK) 30 out of 35 found this review helpful
Nintendogs is a simulation game, where you can adopt your very own virtual puppy, take it for walks, and train it! As you progress through the game you unlock new breeds to choose from and new toys and items for your dogs. Currently, four games are available, Dalmation, Dachshund, chihuahua and labrador - each offering different breeds and items. When you first play the game, it's a lot of fun, better than previous games such as 'Dogz', and the graphics are superb. However, after a while the game begins to feel a little dull. There is a limit to how much can be done in the game, and after owning it for a couple of weeks, feeding your dog, taking it for a walk, and entering it and contest is basically all there is to it. If you're looking for a game that will keep you interested and entertained for as much as it's worth, this sadly isn't it. There is, however, good usage of the touch screen/microphone technology. But the game is one which I play about twice a month, if that, but for those of you who don;t often play the games, looking for a non-challenging game, with more relaxed gameplay, give it a try.
A must for dog lovers June 11, 2007 K. Franklin (UK) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
This is the first game I got for my new DS and I am really glad I got it. I was attracted by the cute puppy pictures, but am glad to say that the game play didn't disappoint. I was really impressed that you could teach your dog voice commands and make what you want out of the game. A really good game for animal lovers and really easy to pick up on those quiet moment, even if you only have 10 mins.
