The Card Room (PC CD)

I was also unimpressed by the ammount of shareware on here - I don't know about anyone else but it annoys me when I pay good money for something only to be told I should pay out more to keep it and be plagued by messages that make me feel like a criminal... I wasn't warned about the shareware upfront although it is written on the jewel case cover. I haven't had it long enough to discover if any of the sofware stops working after a period of time but it wouldn't surprise me.

There is a huge number of games on here though, some of which are very playable... but that is the best I can manage!

The graphic are reasonable,in this retro style Las Vegas ready cash game. Instructures are good but pre card game knowledge helps and rules vary.Playability great.

Unfortunately, I'd not read the first customers (Caroline) review before purchasing. It was only when I loaded it onto the pc that I found much if not all of the games included are shareware so having paid 8.99 for the cd, IF you find anything on there you like, you'll have to pay again after something like 30goes/days.
Quite frankly, this product is rubbish. Minimum requirement for the ONE game I have looked at is Windows 3.1 which just about sums up the quality of what you can expect. Had this been advertised in the product info section as being shareware, I wouldn't have bought it and now feel very cheated as it can't be returned because it has been opened. How you a returns policy can say that if you don't like a product, you can return it unopened is totally beyond me.

Steer well clear is my advice!!
