1 out of 5 stars Could Be Good, I Will Never Know.   December 19, 2007

This game could be brilliant, if it as good as Oblivion then I'm sure it is.
Now the only reason I can think of for buying a disc rather than downloading it is because you do not have access to Xbox Live.
That is the reason I bought the disc.
When I installed the game and loaded it up none of the extra content was there. When queried this with technical support they said I needed to download an update from Xbox Live. To which my reply was 'if I had access to Xbox Live then I would have downloaded the expansion'.
This product was not thought out at all, if you do not have any access to Xbox Live then don't buy it. If you do you might aswell download, save you going shopping or waiting for delivery.
This is really unfortunate because Oblivion was very good and I was looking forward to playing the expansion.

I have had the exact same problem as the person above (kevin bree) I have followed the instructions to a tee and even tried a new game, but the quests won't activate. I've tried uninstalling it then re-installing it but to no avail. I ahve checked in the hard drive space on the Xbox dashboard and it says the content is there, but the game won't load it. This is a huge dissapointment as I have been waiting ages to get this because I have no Xbox live connection. SHould've been great, shame it doesn't work:(

This adds alot of good quests and characters. This game can still last forever and a day, endless possiblities for those with an imagination or people that enjoy the game.
Shivering isles adds more darker places and at times reminds me of Morrowind. It's alot of fun and a must for anyone that has and enjoyed Oblivion.
The knights of the nine content on the disk is also excellent it's not incredibly long but still fun to complete.
To be honest this 'expansion pack' is a full game in itself with the amount of missions and new items etc.

if you bought this game on the disc then i am just going to assume that you dont have broadband so first of here are a few hints & tips and a pit fall.
first things first you will need to have been connected to live at some poinyt in the resente past and have played oblivion for the patches to have downloaded if not then there are some other ways to get the updates the best is to find the console updates on the web (they may be on the support site) then you can burne these on to a disk and put them on your 360 and there you go. of course you may be unable to find them in this case you should phone up the xbox support staff and ask about getting the updates sent to you through the post.
right that is the help for people that cant get to a broadband connectson here is the help for people that have a friend thaqt has broadband this is pretty simple connect your 360 up to his/her internet and start playing the game, a message should come up asking if you want to update say yes and the go back in to the game and all the contente should be there. a word tothe wise you may need to uninstall then reinstall the game.
and it should be running also and this is very important you MUST have your hard drive on your own consel, otherwise when you go home you will not be able to acces the content.

so i hope that was of help to you and dont forget "if at first you dont sucseed then try agian"

p.s this game rocks!!!

I waited a long time to receive this expansion disc and now upon loading it on to the hard drive successfully, I do not get the new addition to my chracters log. Nor is there any prophet near the chapel in anvil after waiting the obligatory 24hrs. So not a lot of point having the expansion. i even tried a new game as per the instructions but still no joy!!
