The best accessory for any 360 owner August 24, 2007 C. J. Orchard-rose (Milton Keynes, England) 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
This is absolute essential if you bought a premium pack or a wireless controller. Your 360 control pad will last 30 hours on fresh AA batteries but, what you don't want, is to be in the middle of a battle on your favourite game only for a "Please reconnect controller" message to pop up. This simple cable completely removes the need to buy batteries ever again. Your on screen battery indicator (Guide blade) will tell you when your pad is running low then you simply plug one end of the cable into an available USB port on your console and the other in the top of the controller to recharge your battery whilst playing! Simply brilliant!
THIS THING ACTUALLY WORKS FINE! December 27, 2007 S. Mendola (London) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful

No Frills needed. no need for five stars either. Its a battery for your wireless Xbox Controller and a charge lead.. Simple. exactly the same as the pink, white and sky blue version Just in black..
Nice bit of kit! September 24, 2008 Frosty 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a nice bit of kit. Certainly saves you running out of batteries mid game and you rummaging around trying to get some AA batteries from the TV remote or something. I charge mine is one of those stand alone docking stations that can hold two packs. I play with one while the other charges and I swap them around like that. But really good that the cable can recharge the pack while playing. If you are thinking of buying it then it's worth a second look.
Definitely one to buy but one niggle... May 25, 2008 BudHead (UK) ...charges incredibly slowly, around 5-6hrs if you're playing at the same time but holds charge for a lot longer than I expected. The wire is handy if like me you've another wireless controller but haven't got round to equipping it with a battery pack as it will work as a standard controller. I haven't tested this out yet but I'm assuming the charging wire also means you could connect a wireless controller to a PC via USB for use as a PC gaming pad. Definitely a good purchase.
