| Features:
| • | Dynamic Weather System: Now racing through a track can mean facing an unexpected rain storm or snow flurries in the middle of a race. This results in changing physics when powering around a corner on the wet or icy surface in Shanghai and St. Petersburg or any of the game's 10 other locations. | | • | Flair & Driving Style: Pass your opponent at full speed as you pump your fists and exhibit more emotion as you earn recognition with the revised Kudos system. The Kudos will be worthwhile too, because the new A.I. personalities will be able to perform bold new driving maneuvers as they race side by side with other drivers. | | • | 120+ Iconic Vehicles: More than 120 iconic vehicles, including motorcycles, from the world's top manufacturers. PGR4 puts gamers behind the wheel of the world's most iconic cars, including the 1957 Maserati 250F, 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, 1978 Lamborghini Countach LP400, 1993 Toyota Supra Turbo, and 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano. In addition, for the first time motorcycles from top manufacturers, such as Ducati, BMW and Honda, will be included in the game. Whether in single-player mode or playing with a team of up to seven other drivers, players can choose to race two motorcycles side by side or race with a combination of cars and motorcycles. The game's unique physics engine enables drivers to pull off incredible driving maneuvers not found in any other racing game. | | • | Xbox LIVE gameplay: PGR4 sets a new standard for racing on Xbox LIVE, allowing drivers to build a global racing community through team-orientated gameplay while making it easy to find their favorite races or images. |

As well as a huge line up of exciting new features, for the first time in 'PGR' history, drivers will have the option of racing a variety of motorcycles from top manufacturers, such as Ducati, BMW and Honda. Whether on two wheels or four, players must perform daring and stylistic moves to win over their fans, who will cheer them on as they follow their road to racing notoriety. In addition, through a new content server, drivers can save their favourite races and search over Xbox LIVE for race content that is specific to their interests. Players can find out who has the longest slide or wheelie in Shanghai or St. Petersburg, for example, through the innovative new content server.

I'm not one to call anyone a liar but.... August 28, 2007 Mr. G. Birkett (Chorley, Lancs, UK) 15 out of 41 found this review helpful
....everyone ignore the reviewer who states he has been playing this game. This simply isnt possible as no code has been released as a playable demo. What has probably happened is they have read a preview (probably the same one I have) that states there will be motorbikes and weather effects. Shame that some people so obviously lie. As far as the game is concerned what can be said is that at this stage it looks great and Bizarre aren't likely to mess up what has been a hugely enjoyable series so far. Until it's released however I shall reserve judgement, when it is released I'll change this to a proper review.
Awesome October 12, 2007 Jon Priston (Birmingham) 15 out of 22 found this review helpful
Forget PGR3 (long load times, bad mix of cars) and Forza (way too clinical), this is now the benchmark for ALL racing games. The graphics are tidied up, the tracks slightly wider and more forgiving and the crowds more involving. And now the weather....fog,rain,sun and snow are all gloriously present with each condition greatly affecting the cars' (or bikes) handling and they look awesome, especially the lighting in Quebec or St.Petersberg. On line the races are broken down into red Vs blue teams with 3 races per match up with bikes and cars racing together. and the bikes??? tricky to start with but change the view to "behind the wheel" and it's about as realistic as it gets.....in short AWESOME....PGR is the daddy
Lots of fun! November 25, 2007 K. Pryce-Jones (Birmingham) 15 out of 18 found this review helpful
As a huge fan of the original incarnation of Project Gotham (Metropolis Street Racer on the old Sega Dreamcast), I found the first Project Gotham on the Xbox a huge step up in difficulty, and a huge step down in fun. About halfway through the game, no matter how hard i tried, I just couldn't seem to be able to get any further! Probably my lack of skill as a gamer. As such, I was a bit weary about getting Project Gotham 4 for the 360. Needless to say, Those doubts were blow away within minutes of playing it. The introduction of bikes add a whole new dymanic to the game. They're great! Many times I've taken outside lines around corners on a bike, to leave a Ferrari F40 for dust inside me, or weaved in and out of slower moving cars to zoom from the back of the field to the front. As someone with a keen interest in learning to ride bikes, it gives me the great opportunity to try out some of the best bikes in the world in a realatively realistic simulator. The introduction of bikes also gives you the chance of completing every challenge in the arcade mode in both a car and a bike, and to see which one you're better with, and if there really is that much of a gap between cars and bikes. While I've never had the chance to drive any of the cars in the game, especially not the powerful RWD class A cars, the driving seems relatively realistic. The difference in handling between each car is quite apparent, and their personality really shines through, making the game great for multiplayer. Picking something like the MacLaren F1 to race against say a CBR600 isn't automatically a win for the F1! It takes time and effort to learn to drive and ride each of the vehicles. On the whole, I really like this game. Its tough at times, but theres no pressure to feel you have to achieve Platinum in every challenge. Ocassionally, it can be very frustrating, but even that can be solved by changing the difficulty or just using a different car or bike. The frustration diminishes the fun slightly, so only 4 stars there, but overall a great game and worth the investment if you like racing simulators.
This should be good.... August 23, 2007 Mr. Simon P. Griffiths (Man-ches-dah!) 12 out of 36 found this review helpful
Dont know how some are claiming to have been playing it for weeks seeing as it hasnt been released anywhere yet... but hey, people lie. Its gonna be big and hsould knock forza off the top spot in the battle of racing games. Bikes are the most obvious new fearture.. as well as real time weather, through xbox live.. if its snowing in london, then london in the game will be snowing. Looks cool, cant wait to pick this game up!
A new take on a much loved classic.. October 16, 2007 G. Capes (UK) 9 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is an excellent game and a welcome addition to the PGR stable with significantly broader gameplay options than previously. For those who like nothing better than the traditional PGR medal system there is Arcade Mode which operates identically to PGR3 except that most medals have to be earnt once for cars and once for bikes whilst a few others are either exclusively for cars or exclusively for bikes. So far so good, but it is in the career mode where Bizarre have thrown caution to the wind and really added to the mix. Events are bundled together into championships of multiple races (typically 3 or 4). Choose a vehicle for the championship and you must use that vehicle for every event. This adds an excellent element of strategy as you must pick a car which will provide optimal results across the championship as a whole. Additionally the career is calender based - loose an event and you must wait until next year (game-time) to play it again. This adds a whole new dynamic to playing PGR. Kudos is doubly important in career mode as it is now factored into determining league positions within individual championships. The weather effects are a truly welcome addition and really affect strategy and car handling. I'm amazed that the previous reviewer thinks that PGR4 only offers the same gameplay as previous iterations ... maybe he was simply referring to Arcade Mode. PGR4's Career Mode, whilst not revolutionary, blows off a thick layer of dust from the series as a whole. I wholly recommend this game to newbies and anyone who has ever played PGR before. You WILL find something new.
