Product Description Pro Evolution Soccer a.k.a. PES is back with a more complete sixth edition. Football fans will be delighted as this game includes many new licences (clubs and national teams). Konami has also managed to get the Orange League 1 licence! As everybody knows, it&rsquos not the licences that have made the success of PES but its incredible game play. The latter has been pushed to the max to give you even more gaming realism. Players can perform a large variety of movements (dribbles, quick free kicks, etc.) and their animations are exemplary. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 takes advantage of the Xbox Live to let you play against other players online. Of course, this Next Gen style displays sensational graphics.
Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell: The world’s most popular football sim returns with numerous tweaks and additions to make it even more realistic in both gameplay and graphics. If England don’t win the World Cup you can always take solace in the latest Pro Evo. The lowdown: This latest sequel sees one of the biggest overhauls in the game’s history with the new improvements to the already impressive animation directly affecting the way you play. Dribbling with the ball is now easier but the quality of your passing and shooting now depends on the position of a player’s body in terms of both accuracy and power. Make a shot straight after a sharp turn, for example, and your chances of hitting the target are slim. Opponent and team artificial intelligence has also been greatly increased, to the point where every man on the pitch is thinking independently. Apart from the animation, the graphics in general have also been upgraded with much better player likenesses. Most exciting moment: Thanks to the new changes Pro Evo 6 plays a much more attacking game than previously, with counter attacks after a fluffed shot on goal made much easier than previously. Since you ask: Although the game doesn’t have the official FIFA World Cup license it does simulate an unofficial international tournament, including both qualifying rounds and the finals. The bottom line: The best just keeps getting better with the most beautiful virtual game ever. HARRISON DENT

Hmmm - i have it read my review August 31, 2006 dandoc2 (england) 42 out of 72 found this review helpful
Ok its that time again the new Pro evo game - So i decided to go for the next gen - my first impressions - pretty good game Now the Pros and Cons Pros - Its Pro evo and the gameplay is excellent - Graphics are good but not truly next gen and improvement on Pes 5 - Online is good but no ones on at the moment as the game isnt out Cons - No Edit mode - no editing team names > players faces > Kits -Paul Scholes has Blond hair !!! - Manchester United and Arsenal fully licenesed - No save a goal reaply - i loved this feature - in the manual is says press X to save so maybe they will update the game maybe an error - Only 8 stadiums - no major but they look pretty anyway - No international Challenge - Master League layout isnt really to my liking but oh well - Run is now the new rb button but you can change it back to the right trigger and the same for change - No german league - only bayern munchen (but fully licensed) Conclusions -- It is lacking features but thats the 360 curse - the game is great although for 40 it is asking a lot ---- its better than fifa 07 ill give you that Id rate it overall id say probably 8.5 out of ten ---its 2 steps forward and one step back ---- my advice wait for pro 7 - get a ps2 and pro evo on there or get the ultra pricy ps3 and get pro evo 6 for that Thanks Daniel

I'm a big fan of the pro-evo series, and I've occasionally tried the EA Fifa games to see if the gap is closer... Well, to be honest I'm right on the fence this time. With both games built from the ground up and the polished look of the next gen consoles, these games will hardy be poor, however, Pro Evo has gotten away with some things for too long: 1) Poor Presentation 2) Poor Commentary 3) Average Sound effects 4) Limited Competitions & Leagues 5) Player Names!!! And Fifa always lacked... 1) Playability and control 2) Realistic feel 3) Varied Goal-scoring tactics 4) Challenge As far as I can see, Fifa has pretty much improved in every previously poor area, yet Pro Evo still has poor presentation & Commentary, as well as player names being wrong... I'll wait for the reviews, and probably Demo's, but Fifa is just edging it for me.
Pro Evo Vs Fifa by Ledav September 29, 2006 D. Rogers (Cornwall) 24 out of 64 found this review helpful
I would like to state for the record that Fifa is a game for those who simply want ridiculous goals with minimum effort. Pro Evo has always been the better footy sim and I doubt PES 6 will let us down now. For all those who are swayed by Fifa's fancy licencing agreements and endorsements by Ronaldinho etc, remember, you are living in the dark. Try PES and you'll never go back! I'ts a shame that it's not fully licenced but a dedicated gamer can edit all the kits and names with patience (my mate did it on PES 5). Pro Evo forever!

Ten quid more for a quarter of the current gens game content. No team editing, only 8 stadiums etc. Apparently, the game also suffers with some stutter. As Mr A Millman would say "E's avin' a laugh".
