Not as good as the official Nintendo Wheel, but it does the job. April 12, 2008 DangermouseZilla (Doncaster, Yorkshire, UK.) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Although this doesn't feel as solid as the Nintendo wheel, it still does feel pretty sturdy. I find the Nintendo wheel easier to hold, but that's just my preference and I'm still able to use this with no problems. The B button (the one on the back of the Wii-Mote) isn't as easy to press with this wheel. The official wheel has a small clear covered window to allow the infra-red of the Wii-mote to be used without having to take the Wii-mote out of the wheel, this does not. So if you are in a situation where you need to point the Wii-mote at the screen to select something, you'll have to pull it free from the wheel. There's a hole at the base of the recess to allow the wrist strap to come out through the back, but the hole isn't big enough! The plastic strap adjuster doesn't fit through it! Given those issues though, the Wii-Mote quickly pushes into the wheel, and is easily pulled out. If you are you a budget then this will do the job, but the official wheel edges it by having nice extra touches.
Pay extra for the official wheel! September 2, 2008 Francesca J. Wright (Oxfordshire, Englnd) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
At first my sister and i were delighted with this birthday gift along with the game and official wheel. We didn't mind that it wasn't official but as we began to play- its faults started to arise. 1- It completely blocks the transmitter bit that transmits to the wii console to say what you are pressing and how you are moving the wheel which results in having to take the remote out to use the cursor or add another remote to the game. It also seems to slow you down and not reacts no matter who you are racing with- thi results in many 12th places. 2- The B button on the back is very hard to press which is not a problem on the official wheel. 3- It is generally harder to grip.
