I can Boogie!! September 25, 2007 JamesB98 (UK) 72 out of 79 found this review helpful
THE BASICS Boogie is the ultimate party game. From singing to dancing it is full of enjoyment for all ages. I thoroughly enjoy playing boogie with it's brilliant graphics and game play. There are many fun songs to sing from rock to pop. The story mode is very enjoyable but is also quite challenging as the levels progress. Karaoke is a brilliant way to touch up your vocals or just to have fun. Dance mode is extremely fun with many dance moves and combos to perform. There are many items to unlock throughout the game to make it a challenge. Boogie is an excellent game from EA and is a must buy this year. WHAT DO YOU GET? In the Boogie package, you get a USB microphone which is white with gold with the EA logo on it, you also get the CD fo the Wii and inside the box you get a manual guide and a safety guide. The package is worth the money and is now AVAILABLE in all good game shops. WHO IS IT FOR? It is for anybody really, it has great features for kids and adults alike and anybody can get up and party! Anybody loves a good old dance and sing of course! So what are you waiting for! GET UP DANCE, SING AND SHOW BOOGIE WHAT YOU'VE GOT! HOW MUCH WILL IT COST? Well, Boogie costs around 40- 50 but is definitely worth the money and its good in value! IS IT WOTH BUYING? I definitley think it is, this game is one of a kind and if you're having a party or a little get-together then its just a little fun to add to it. I think there is a little bit of dancing and singing in everyone and anybody will be able to pick this game up straight away, so if you have any tots in the family why not see if they can play after all its a very easy game to play! I think this is absolutely fun and worth buying but it's your decision whether you want to try it out! Thankyou for reading this review, I hope I have helped you to decide whether to buy it or not. I loved this game and I hope you do too. Remember - WII CAN ALL BOOGIE!!
Boogie Woogie With Emma G September 28, 2007 Mrs. A. C. Guest (UK) 23 out of 26 found this review helpful
This is a great game for the Wii, the graphics are excellent and sound good. This game isn't for everyone though as you have to be quite outgoing to join in and play it. If you are a sky person then this game isn't for you. Best played in a group as a party atmosphere is needed, it is a bit boring if played on your own. I think you would play this everyday for a week, then it would collect dust for a few months before being your favourite again. A good game, but not for all.
WOW!! IM A POPSTAR !!! September 11, 2007 kneeby (uk) 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
amazing karaoke game that lets you belt out your favourite songs and scores you on how well you perform and a step further with Boogie, by using the motion-sensing abilities of the console to track your movements so you can dance along, too.
Fun Fun Fun September 9, 2007 A. Macintyre (Coventry UK) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I would describe my-self , sad to say being a 24 year old, as a serious gamer. I enjoy online games and have done since I got SOF 6 odd years ago, this game was totally out of my tatse category. However, I have never had such a laugh playing a game before. It's one of thos games where you dont have to compete against other people, all you have to do is have a laugh, with some beers 18+. The Wii in general has made so many get togethers in my house that much more fun, and this, by far, is the best of them all. Although the selection of songs is not massive, the songs that are there are cheeseey party classics, and the video creator is cringingly good aswell. I have spent hours playing this game thinking I could actually sing, only to find out when watching it back I cant. If you have a Wii, you must get this game, it is probably the most fun Wii game out at the moment!!
Poor! December 26, 2007 Neil G 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
This game had so much potential but just completely fails to deliver. So far, I have the following problems with it: 1)It comes with about ten songs ready to use, others have to be unlocked. Even then I don't think there'll be many more than twenty, and a high proportion of them seem to be by the Black Eyed Peas. 2)As far as I'm aware, none of the songs are originals and are all cover versions. Some are okay, but most are well below average. EA have a lot of financial power and are an industry leader so why this is the case is a mystery. 3)The microphone is almost useless. Playback sounds like those bits on the advert breaks in the X-Factor - you know where the little mobile dances about while they play the caller singing over the top of it. It can take the best singer in the world and make them sound rubbish. 4)This game completely fails to use Miis. You have to use one of the fixed characters that comes with the game. Huge oversight. 5)The "dancing" involves flicking your wrist left and right. Not so much a dancing simulator - more like a finger-clicking simulator. So in summary, I thought this would be a passable karaoke/dancing game. It's neither! That's a shame, since the overall presentation is nice with the dance moves being particularly well animated but the package just doesn't even come close to being worth the 50 RRP. Avoid this for now, a superior competitor will probably be along in due course.
