LMA MANAGER 2005!! September 5, 2004 33 out of 60 found this review helpful
I have played LMA Manager 2002, 03 and 04. 2004 being the best one of the series. 2004 had new amazing features when it came out, so if you think about it 2005 will be even better. Codemasters always adds something new which makes this game a brilliant buy. However, it wont have the January 2005 transfers being the only negative side of it. If you love the thought of managing a football team this game is for you!! A MUST HAVE FOR EVERY FOOTBALL FANATICS!
LMA Manager: Another one... October 26, 2004 21 out of 31 found this review helpful
Layout, menu and user interface is near identical to the previous edition of lma, admitidly - the last one had little interface that needed improvment. However as of yet i haven't noticed much more improvements around the game.To actually do well is pretty difficult..no stried in the park. The Game engine looks better and there are more detailed options when looking to buy players and improve your sqaud. It hasnt got as a detailed database nor options as of the competing championship manager, however, it is alot easier to pick up and play. It has many features were you can train your own players there own schedule, sort out advertisements and stadiums, basically all you need for a management game. I was just hoping for a larger change which unfortunatley we havent received, i think they haev concentrated on imrpoving there player databases and difficulty of the game, rather than the looks - which is better i suppose. Therefore onn the surface i would say LMA hasn't improved when you first compare it, although once you get playing you realise things like how its changed in detail, and difficulty. If you are someone who loves the games i think its worth buying as you have all the new names, and a nice few updates.
The Hardest November 2, 2004 9 out of 15 found this review helpful
This is the hardest LMA so far made but this makes the game much more competitive.I am Arsenal and I bet Man UTD 5-0 two games later I lost to Spurs 2-0.There is a lot of young good players in the game that can turn into worldclass players like Henry. The graphics keep getting better and you are able to score unbeleiveable goals.
LMA Manager 2005 December 29, 2004 6 out of 9 found this review helpful
I think LMA Manager is probably one of the best sports/management games around at the moment. 2005 is the sixth one to be made, starting from LMA Manager on the Playstation to LMA Manager 2005 on the PS2. This year the game has changed in certain aspects but not alot has we hoped it would. You are now able to choose from the English conference, the Portuguese league and the Holland league which now means you can be in 7 different countries which include: England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany and Holland. I think the best part of the game is buying players to boost your squad and you can do that as each year they put all the brand new players that have gone to certain clubs and managers also. Their are other new things in the game but 2005 is the best so far. so if you dont know whether to buy it or not i recommand you do.
MANAGEMENT REALITY!!! January 20, 2005 DAVID_HIRST (WAKEFIELD, WEST YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND!!!) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
LMA Manager 2005 is an excellent game, by far the best management simulation game that is currently available. It isn't exhaustive to the point the game becomes a chore to play like other games do in respect of the menus you have to navigate through. And yet this doesnt detract from the game being exceptionally comprehensive. Adding to that is the fact it is easy to grasp with a realistic and very addictive game play. Indeed the nearest rival game just doesnt come close, especially as LMA Manager 2005, i believe, comes close to giving you an accurate idea of what it really does take to manage an actual football team. Patience, faith and innovation! The only downside is that during the game play, players take a tumble too regularly and easily, often when they are in crucial positions, which never happens to the opposition. However be prepared to be pleasantly suprised!!! This game is certainly a rewarding experience and a must buy. For those who are sceptical of such types of game, LMA Manager 2005 is the one to try.
