I bought this video to find the humour of the past and was not disappointed although I know that there was much more to the man than portrayed. Chic Murray was a droll scottish comic, with a common touch. Every comic line performed could be associated with day to day life and you would never have noticed the humour in it until Chic spoke the one liner that made you laugh.
The video provided only a brief snapshot of the man and his genius. If you are looking for nostalgia and a reminder of where the great scottish comic roots came from then this is the video for you. The life of the man and those who thought so much of him, brings back memories of the sixties, seventies and eighties when humour was just that, humour.
These are days and times that can't be brought back but can bring a smile to remind us of where we were and how they were interpreted by the comic genius of Chic Murray.
