The first four episodes of Friends Series 10;

The One After Joey and Rachel Kiss -

Monica, Chandler and Phoebe discover that they can eavesdrop on Ross & Charlie and Joey & Rachel through the walls of the hotel. Both new couples decide to wait before proceeding with their relationships, until the men can talk to each other. Ross tells Joey on the plane ride back to New York, but Joey can't quite yet. Later, Ross walks in on Joey and Rachel kissing. Meanwhile, Monica combats her poofy hair by getting corn rows put in, and Phoebe discovers that Mike has a girlfriend.

The One Where Ross Is Fine -

Ross puts on a convincing front and invites Joey and Rachel to dine on fajitas with him and Charlie. He quickly gets drunk and embarrasses everyone. After Rachel and Charlie leave, Joey spends the night and the two talk in the morning. Ross tells Joey he'll work on getting used to him and Rachel. Meanwhile, Frank Jr. visits with his kids and tries to talk Phoebe into taking one of the triplets. Also, Chandler and Monica visit some friends of Phoebe to learn about adoption. However, Chandler accidentally tells their son something he didn't know--that he's adopted.

The One With Ross's Tan -

Joey and Rachel's first date goes well, until they return to their apartment and discover that everything's awkward. They decide that they make better friends than lovers and call off their relationship. Monica and Phoebe try to avoid their annoying friend Amanda, who has returned from living in London with a fake British accent. Ross gets a spray-on tan.

The One With The Cake -

It's baby Emma's first birthday and Rachel won't let the party start until Emma wakes from her nap. However, everybody has places to be: Monica and Chandler want to leave for a weekend getaway in Vermont, Phoebe has a massage client, and Joey has an audition.

Stars: Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer

It's the first episodes of the last season of the most loved show ever. In this first edition you can have all the mistery that Season 9' finale left to us finnaly revealed as we find the group still at the beach (The One After Joey Kissed Rachel). Then, back to New York where Phoebe will see again her brother and the triplets as Monica and Chandler start to look in depth the adoption stuff while Ross pretends not to care about Joey and Rachel (The one where Ross is fine). Then you can't miss Joey and Rachel's first date or Ross going to a tannin salon as Monica discovers a secret about Phoebe (The one with Ross' Tan). And finally another Must-see episode feauturing Emma's first birthday party with Judy and Jack as guest stars and a particular surprise in the cake (The one with the cake). Remember to charish every episode of this season because they are starting to say goodbye.

3 out of 5 stars Three stars for the DVD, not the comedy   February 22, 2004

It must be unique in the history of television that such a longstanding series as Friends should end with its comic force undiminished. This is still our good old Friends - although some glitches do appear in the scenario. The unpopular Joey-Rachel sequence is rather too hastily dropped and forgotten, while the announcement of Phoebe's engagement does not attract even a fraction of the attention that other Friends marriages did: I guess Phoebe is rather right in saying that she feels a bit left out... Nevertheless, despite all this (sometimes, even because of this - too much realism harms the comedy), Friends runs as smoothly and as hilariously as ever. But what's with the DVD? There are no extras whatsoever, where an abundance could have existed. After all this is the final series. This is rather disappointing: unless you are Friend-aholics like me, do not buy the DVD.

3 out of 5 stars Somewhat disappointing   February 21, 2004

Based on the first 4 episodes, it looks like Series 10 is one of the weakest [in tight competition with Series 7 or 9]. While story is still involving and you cannot help but be interested in what happens to each of Friends characters, the humour is very weak [rare exception being Ross' adventures with spray-on tan] and often simply tasteless [e.g. birthday cake ...]. Also the acting is not as great as usual, especially David Schwimmer in the second espisode reaches all-time-low level. If you are Friends fan, you should still be able to enjoy these espisodes, although be warned that they are way below the usual Friends standard. But if you are not already a fan, you will definitely not become one after watching Series 10. Let's hope the rest of Series 10 is better.

I watched all of these episodes on e4, and i must say that they are just 100% made of excellence.
My favourite episode of the volume is The One With Ross' Tan.

I cant wait for this series to be released as a dvd boxset to add to my collection.

Friends is the best series on TV ever. It Will Be Greatly Missed.
