This has to be a Meldrew classic. From start to finish a mixture of misunderstanding and unfortunate happens. If you thought it could only happen to Richard Wilson then think again, as Peter Cook proves that it can happen to everyone as he tries to retrieve his Paparazzi photos of a popular figure. This is the absolute antidote to a bad day. Arrested by the police or are they, romance for Mrs Warboys after being sold to a barman! Victor makes friend with every Donkey in the Algarve. Driving his neighbours to distraction after the donkey surprises him in the bath. If I had to pick a particular line it would be 'Hey Supermans Dad', you have to watch it to see why.

I hated it, when they finished on the tele, i used to love watching them, and they were ever so funny. This film is ace, victor maldrew[richard wilson], is so funny. I have never stopped watching this film, it is more funnier than any other film iv'e seen. Margaret[annette crosbie], and victor maldrew, are off on a holiday in the company of mrs warboyes[susan belbin], but it goes completely wrong. DONKEYS, THE POLICE AND THE ADDICTED SMELL OF VICTORS AFTERSHAVE. MUST SEE!!!It is mostly funny all the way through.

This is one of the funniest films I have ever seen. It just goes from one funny sketch to another. It combines drama and comedy to perfection. I would be surprised if you finish watching this film without a stomach that is sore from laughing! Enjoy.

Ok. Well firstly, this movie is quite different to the series that was on television. Although its just as funny, i personally say this is better!
After seeing quite a few of the television series ages and ages ago..then seeing this, i was extremely tempted to buy it. I always find that when they make a movie out of a good comedy thats been on tv,theyre excellent! Well this just couldnt have been better. Literally from the beginning i found that it was hilarious and i couldnt stop laughing at parts...victor maldrew is just so funny in this!
I loved the plot and the storyline..how it was based on victor and is wife going on a vacation of a company of mrs warboys. They all go to Portugal for two weeks. But dont expect the problems and the hastle when they get there.(This is what really makes the movie quite funny in parts) nothing seems to go right for the maldrews on their summer vacation.
Its basically that..wont go too much into the story..but i highly reccomend anyone that loved or loves these actors, to see this because its excellent! I just love movies especially about a vacation, where things hapen to go wrong inbetween. Gives laughs for the whole of the family to see!
