5 out of 5 stars Dad's Army review   October 15, 2004

I absolutely love Dad's Army and I am a big fan so naturally I would rate this video very highly. No Spring for Fraser can be a little tiresome at times but there are some very funny scenes where we see the Dad's Army cast performing some slapstick which I consider to be very funny. Absent Friends is an episode I love particularly with a misunderstanding between Captain Mainwaring and Corporal Jones. and A. Wilson: Manager? is very funny as Captain Mainwaring feels betrayed by Wilson and takes action by promoting Corporal Jones. At the end of the episode you'll feel very sorry for Wilson but I won't tell you why because otherwise it would ruin the episode for you. The video in all is brilliant and Dad's Army is a credit to British Classic Sitcoms. So go out and buy it!

5 out of 5 stars Great stuff from Dads Army   January 15, 2005
Mr Richard Crouch (Shoeburyness, Essex United Kingdom)
The title episode shows how the whole platoon comes together to help Fraser find the spring from the Lewis Gun that he mislaid whilst it was his turn to clean it ..........Oh No! I won`t give the story away if you haven`t seen this episode, but just suffice to say it ends on a high note. The 3rd episode shows Mr Wilson in a totally new light and no one can be un-moved by the outcome to this episode..........the funniest bit is where Mainwaring is on the phone to the Vicar at the start of the episode ...........how did Dads Army NOT win the best SITCOM ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
