No more steamed up goggles June 16, 2004 Matthew Jude 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
If you can't get on with normal safety goggles because they steam up this set up works well.I bought one set and was so pleased that i bought two more, the helmet is just an added bonus for me.I have been doing serious diy for years and would only wear goggles as a last resort. This is a great solution!
My thoughts on the helmet. December 9, 2005 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I was most impressed with this helmet. The ear protectors were of particular note. I would recommend this to anybody with an interest in D.I.Y. or novelty hats. The bright yellow colouring of the helmet perfectly complemented my D.I.Y. outfit. Can also be used for fancy dress.
Excellent value January 13, 2006 Gardener (Tiverton, Devon United Kingdom) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I use mine for my petrol strimmer, chain saw, angle grinder etc. The only reason I put this review in is to warn about how you clean the visor. Don't use anything mildly abrasive or you will leave scratches. I used a soft plastic brush and hazed the plastic and I now need to change same.
Useability of Safety Helmet, Ear Defenders and Visor. March 25, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Excellent value product that does what it claims. Assembly instructions poor, but most aspect obvious - inner head frame fittings baffled me for a while. Replacement lexan type visors available; box illustration (not photo) shows mesh screen fitted. Mesh screen would be useful when chainsawing, but I haven't been able to find this as a spare part on Draper or vendor websites.
Helmet let down by poor internal fittings June 8, 2007 M. G. Lewin (London England) I bought this for visiting construction sites and was interested in the additional ear and eye protection. With the hinged back strap the helmet is better fitting and more comfortable than most, but within weeks both plastic cross members holding the back strap in place snapped off. Whilst this was remedied by physically stapling the two parts of the strap together, one of the lugs securing the harness into the helmet broke off last week rendering the helmet, and of cause its additional attachments, useless. This would be a good helmet if the quality of the interior plastic fittings were better.
