Cheap but solid & practical August 2, 2007 Dick le Fenac (Powys, Wales) 23 out of 24 found this review helpful
I have been using one of these at home for years, and for a basic workbench it is very solid and practical. I now need another for a different location, where I have got through 3 of the cheaper workbenches in the time I have had the Black & Decker at home. Don't bother with the cheap ones - they are made of trashy materials and do not have the structural integrity of the WM301. I also have a full sized workmate, but it is a bit heavy to carry about, so the WM301 gets used more due to its portability. For around 24 its well worth the money and will last you a lifetime unless you give it some serious abuse.
Workbench Black and Decker wm301 August 13, 2008 Gareth Hitchcock (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just spent the morning putting it together the assembly instructions are really bad, not what you expect from Black and Decker then to top it all when putting the handles on finding the cotter pins are to big resulting in a couple of screws holding the handles on, I am not to impressed.
Surprisingly good for the price November 30, 2008 F. Ravat Good product however the comment about the handle pins by other reviewers is true. In the end I had to re-drill to get the pin fitted. Aprt from that I would recomment this product for general use.
