Blows Black & Decker into the weeds. Bosch build quality is simply the best. Been using Bosch tools for over 20 years and only ever had one fail on me after an awful lot of use (an some abuse) unlike certain other makes.
The PSB 650 RE has adequate power for most DIY jobs. The hammer action is positive and the power control action is very smooth. It's easily possible to control the drill speed from 0 - 3000rpm with a squeeze of the trigger. Chuck does not require a key and clamp and release action is excellent.
The one limitation is that this drill does not drive screws. There is insufficient low speed torque for that. If you want a screwdriver, then best buy one separate.
If you need more power then you need something more than a DIY tool.
This is an excellent tool at the price.

The drill is very good value for the money and is built sturdily enough to last most people a lifetime, certainly doing DIY jobs. Bosch have a reputation for producing good tools and this drill is no different.
In recent years there has been a move away from corded drills to the cordless variety. The problem I find with those is that when you do want to use it you probably find that it is not charged up. Also although they are sold as a multi-purpose tool, screwdriver, drill etc. most of them do not have the power to tackle the heavier duty jobs and can even burn our if pushed too hard.
This is a drill and not a screwdriver and as such has ample power for virtually all the jobs you would need to do around the house. The hammer action is ideal for brick and stonework. The drills variable speed action is smooth and the keyless chuck beats the old style chuck hands down. If you don't mind plugging it in this is the drill for you.
