Excellent Product June 24, 2006 W. J. Barnett (Greenhithe Kent) 43 out of 44 found this review helpful
Well worth 5 stars. Considering this trimmer has 630mm blades it is very light and easy to handle. The so called collector is a bit waste of time I use mine without it. But it is a great product and is value for money.
Bish Bosch - job done May 21, 2007 John Self (Belfast, NI) 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
I can't praise this product highly enough (although I am probably about to). I used to use a Black and Decker hedge trimmer and cutting the hedge was always a chore - each area needed three goes and it took forever, and the results were never that brilliant. In fact I thought it was my fault that the results weren't good, until we got this new Bosch hedge trimmer. It really is the bee's knees: the blades are super sharp (careful now!) and 2 feet long, so they cover a much longer area with each stroke, and the sharpness means you only need to run over each patch once. It has literally halved (or more) the time it takes me to cut our hedges. I wouldn't say it's become a pleasure, but it's certainly much less of a chore. The collector is a useful attachment, but only for doing the top of the hedge. Then it gathers the trimmings as you go along, and you can just tip them into your bin as you go. All in all a superb product which has transformed my gardening duties!
Excellent Garden Hegde Trimmer September 24, 2007 Jeff Richards (South Wales, U.K.) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this from Amazon it was free delivery and delivered on time. The Trimmer is excellent, trims really thick branches, also has long reach. Very powerful and easy to use. Would recommend to anyone as good value for less than 60
Excellent so far September 27, 2007 Rob Fenton (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Not used it for the main job i got it for yet, but initial trial proven very good indeed! Incredibly quick at it's task. >I think it is was worth getting this slightly longer cutting blade. >The power cable is a good length (though need something to store it around). >Plastic teeth cover is fiddly to put back on - maybe practice required. >I have sprayed the teeth with WD40 after use as good practice and advised by a neighbour. So far so good - recommended! (shouldn't give full 5 stars untill it has fully proven itself)
Room for Improvement May 22, 2008 Mr. K. Kilpatrick I bought this item to replace a similar Challenge trimmer that broke down after only 6 months. This was the only one with a collection device in the catalogue. The Challenge trimmer was better balanced, especially doing the sides and the collection device was much better(lighter and shorter) and because it dosn't curve away from the blade you're restricted to using only one side of the blade with it on. I intend to make a smaller one from a piece of 100mm PVC duct. Also, I would have liked to have had an inspection plate on the bottom to enable lubrication of the cam. Plus points. The blades are the best and sharpest I've ever used so take care, first time users. You could take a bigger bite than you intend. Not as powerful as most other "2 footers". It dosn't need to be with blades this good. Well worth the extra money.
