I received two dumbbell each weighing 25 Lbs (this includes the weight of the bar). They are quite chunky with a large grip, but only 12 inches in length. Although they can be a bit clanky if handled a roughly, they are not noisy, also the weight selector may seem a bit stiff to move until you get the knack of it.
On the whole I am very happy with this product and with the speed of delivery.

I originally wanted to buy the Bowflex Selecttech dumbells but was put off by the incredibly high price, these seemed a good cheaper alternative.
As the previous reviewer has mentioned, they are a little clunky (ie they make a clunking noise as the weights hit one another) but the weight selection is very simple. I also find that when the weights are in the storage tray they double up nicely as push up bars.
Do a web search for dumbbell exercises and you have everything you need to start lifting weights.

As the previous reviewers have mentioned, the dumbells are a little clunky when used, however the noise is quiet and bearable. The adjustment mechanism is simple, and quick to adjust.The stand/storage plate makes the whole item neat and practical to store in most places. In comparison to similar more epensive alternatives this product is good value for money, and has a quality feel.
