this is a very useful piece of equipment, which feels like you are walking up hill.It does trim the hips and legs. The only problem is that the chain on mine is broken and i'm having trouble getting spare parts. Also it broke after only 18 months.
Good fun exercise September 27, 2006 J. North (Beverley, UK) 81 out of 83 found this review helpful
I bought the LTT about 5 weeks ago. I find it fun to use and easy too - there is a short work out video included. I try to use it at least every other day, and am starting to think my legs are becoming more toned. I do have the power cords, but prefer to use free weights. I can't really see how this equipment works your obliques (stomach) or your upper body unless obviously, you invest in either the power cords or cheap free weights. I find that that power cords are not 'elastic' enough and therefore I cannot find the correct length for them. (you'll know what I mean if you have used them!) I bought my weights for 6.99 and in doing so this also gave me the opportunity to do different work outs away from the Thigh Trainer. All in all, I enjoy using this and feel better for having done something rather than sitting watching TV.
Great way to exercise March 16, 2007 Jan (Canterbury Kent UK) 42 out of 43 found this review helpful
Well i have had mine LTT for a year and have had no problems save for a small squeak, which when greased went completely. If you want to lose weight this is a great machine but only if you eat a sensible diet at the same time, its not a magic machine! I have been using it for a year, whilst eating a good diet and have lost just over 3 stone. I started out able to do just 5 mins a day but went up to an hour a day. I really does tone your stomach, i have lost 5 inches around mine and 6 inches around each leg. My bottom and arms are also looking very toned and I feel great. Its an easy machine to use, and easy to store. I love it!

I recently bought the LTT since I have a medical problem and hoped this would help my legs if nothing else. I was correct. It has helped my legs alot and I can walk without as much pain as I have had to deal with in the last couple of years. The cellulite on my legs is slowly disappearing and my legs are far stronger than they were. I can only imagine the results people can get when they are able to do the whole video and consistant work-outs. For me I can only do a little at a time but it really works the legs!!!If I had this years ago I believe that I could have eliminated alot of pain earlier on. There is no jarring or harm done to the knees or any other body parts. However I have experienced some squeeking of the LTT but it quickly goes away. I would definately recommend this to others (and have family members) My husband who has very bad knees likes to use it and it seems to have strengthened his knees so he too is finding benifits from this.
Bubbles and Squeaks May 15, 2007 Andrew Wallace (UK) 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
Did not buy this product from Amazon.co.uk, but just to let you know.... As with the other reviews, I bought this product for my girlfriend to use. After about a month of use the LTT developed a loud squeak on the right hand hinge. I followed the instructions recommendations, and applied WD40 to the hinge. This seemed to work for a short while, but the squeak came back with a passion - and a nasty black soot deposit on my beige carpet which came from the hinge grinding on the metal of the base. Insult added to injury when the LTT finally gave up the ghost and the thrust bearing at the back (This controls the resistance of the exercise) broke and all the ball bearings scattered all over the floor. Been looking for spares for about a week now, with no luck. Old addage - "You pay for what you get" really does apply to this one. LTT build quality - 1 stars Spares availablity - 0 stars Workout given when LTT working - 5 stars
