Great for when the weathers warm October 22, 2008

I own a few pairs of Bridgedales and think they are great socks. I bought these as I was off on a summer walking holiday and read about the cooling effect that they had.
They certainly do their job, it was an odd feeling to find that my feet felt cooler whilst wearing them in side boots/trainers. I even had to change them once as they weren't warm enough. They manage to do this whilst still giving you good protection and don't allow any rubbing or wear.
The sock sits just beneath the main bone in the ankle which in normal shoes, low boots and trainers is fine. They are a hard wearing yet comfortable sock. The socks have some merino wool in the fabric which does mean that the socks keep fresh too.
The only negative for me was that one of the socks would occasionaly slip down when wearing walking shoes and I would have to dig down to pull it up again, but i've found this with other similar socks too.
I also bought a pair of the Bridgedale Socks X-Hale Multisport aswell which rise higher up the leg but also give the same cooling effect.
