Product Description NSD Powerball Techno, comes with a wrist strap. This is the new revised and stronger model which has also had an update to the scoring mechanism. It has only just been released. Techno is the very latest addition to the exciting family of Powerball products and is the most technologically advanced Powerball to date. The rotor also displays an entrancing collection of 'firelines' as it spins, ranging from red to blue in colour and giving an a truly amazing effect depending on the speed at which it is revolving. The Powerball range is an extremely flexible exercise tool with which to build huge power in the arms, wrists and fingers. Using it for just 5 minutes each day will guarantee additional distance in the golf drive, greater power in the tennis serve and serious wallop in your cricket game, to detail just a few of its advantages to sport.

Powerball Techno February 24, 2007 Book Worm (Kent UK) 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
The Techno is a recent addition to my powerball collection, I have been using various powerballs for over two years now and I love them as much now as when I first got it. The manufacturer's description really doesn't do this product justice, although their website does. If you use this powerball at low speeds it is great for RSI and other wrist/arm injuries. At high speeds it gives an amazing workout and really builds up all the arm and shoulder muscles. The build quality is incredible (do not be tempted by inferior wannabes) and the lifetime guarantee is unbeatable. I've had to replace a small part already (due to my intensive usage!) and they sent out the part quickly, free of charge and with full fitting instructions, can't say fairer than that! It is truly addictive and put it on a table in a room full of friends and you will all soon be fighting to out do one another on high speeds and other stats that the computer on top measures. The Techno is a fun take on the original theme and is perfect for us powerball addicts who want that little something extra. I could write so much more about this product, but really you've got to buy one and try for yourself, you will not regret it!
Powerball Yes, Techno NO! October 22, 2007 J. L. Hinton (UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
If you're getting a powerball, steer clear of this one!. The scrolling score is a neat idea, but it just doesn't work well enough. Most of the time you can't see or miss your score, so the competitive element of power balling gets lost. Half the fun. Get one with the LCD score readout.
Good fun but slightly flawed January 23, 2007 Dr. Mark Green 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
This is a really neat exercise toy - basically, you put it in your hand and spin it with your wrist, and it applies resistance that gets greater the faster you spin, and you try to spin as fast as possible. There's only two small catches. The first is that you have to "start" it by pulling the internal rotor with a cord, this can take a few tries to get right, so be patient. It also makes it a bit harder to carry around. The second catch is that the "displays your score scrolled across the rotor" doesn't work at all. By the time you're viewing your score, the rotor is gimbling as well as rolling so the digits indeed do scroll, but they are also spinning wildly around in circles, making it almost impossible to read them. The mid-spin effects are neat, though.
A superb gadget May 3, 2007 Mr. James D. G. Miles (Cambridge, United Kingdom) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought a normal powerball because I was intrigued by the idea. I really enjoyed spinning it up and strengthening my arms/wrists with it but I don't feel the standard powerball is "fun" enough. This Techno one is far better because the speed you got it up to scrolls across by lighting little LEDs in just the right way to form numbers! It's brilliant! It also sometimes scrolls text, if you spin it at a different speed. It's just like a normal powerball - same robust build, same smooth feel - but it's got that extra gimmick of the scrolling display. At first I had a bit of difficulty holding it still enough to properly see the numbers and text scroll across, but within a couple of days I worked out that you have to hold it as loosely as possible when it's winding down, not exerting any forces in any direction non-coplanar to the way the gyro is spinning. With a bit of practice you can learn to very lightly exert a force perpendicular to the gyrospin that will spin the display to be facing the best way up to view the numbers as they scroll across. Great toy!
Easy when you know how! May 25, 2007 O. Goodall (Worthing) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was looking for some way to exercise while sitting in the office all day and decided to buy this little gem after reading the reviews below. It's a bit tricky when you start but you quickly get the 'feel' for it and when you do its great fun!!! Really works the arms and hand muscles which will hopefully improve my tennis game. As the other reviewers mention, the magic readout is tricky to see BUT here is the answer!! TIP: connect the wrist strap (included in the box) and when you finish 'spinning' let the powerball dangle freely from the cord on your wrist. Your score will now be really easy to see on the rotor!! Enjoy!
