Good ball but DVD not great. December 12, 2006 A. Gosling (Liverpool, England) 61 out of 61 found this review helpful
I bought this set to help me exercise when it's too cold to go outside and it's done the trick. I really feel the benefit from using the ball and I enjoy working out with it. I've had no problem with the pump as other customers have done and the ball is good quality. However I didn't find the DVD very helpful and actually bought another one (I went for Oz aerobics) to use with the ball. As you can buy Reebok gym balls by themselves cheaper elsewhere I would recommend doing that rather than buying this set. Also I didn't realise that gym balls come in different sizes for different heights, luckily this one is the right size for me but find out what size you need before investing.
A good thing to have June 29, 2006 xxxx (xx) 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
This is a really nice way of working on your posture. Having done yoga for a little while, work with the ball made me realise I don't use all muscle groups to their fullest extent in my yoga practice. I use it for sitting on a few times every day, especially when using my laptop -like now. The thing is sturdy, bouncy, generally of good quality and has slightly sticky feel so you don't slide off it. Only 4 stars because the pump supplied didn't work (so gave my lungs a bit of exercise!), and the technical quality of the DVD supplied wasn't brilliant (the content is nice: well presented, motivating and provides sufficiently detailed instructions). There are cheaper alternatives if you don't want a DVD and a (defect) pump with it, but for me this purchase was fine.
Faulty Pump October 19, 2007 Mr. Lior Samsa 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I got my Reebok Gym Ball today and was very disappointed when I found that the pump imcluded did not work. Looking at other customer reviews I see that other individuals had the same problem. I think that this problem should be addressed by Amazon and/or Reebok and do not advise anyone to purchase this item until it is sorted out. I'm sure that the actual ball is fine but it is impossible to inflate without a pump and this set is not cheap to buy. Avoid getting it here and buy somewhere else.
Pretty fun... September 4, 2007 zivi browning (london) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
When I got mine I got it without a pump as this was store policy. The pump might be handy at first, but the ball can hold its air for so long that I don`t think it is really necessary. It is a very durable ball since mine has been thrown around, bounced high up in the air, squashed, squeezed, even bounced on a trampoline and still it hasn`t even deflated a little tiny bit in all the time I`ve had it. The reason I gave the ball 4 stars was simply because the exercises were not really very fun or helpful... In fact I would call them quite boring, allthough it is fun to have a good old slide on the ball. So if you need an exercise ball, or just something to throw around then get this one because it is probably the top-of-the-range one.
Faulty Pump December 22, 2007 Sam Brown (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I, too, have been disappointed at not being able to inflate the Reebok Gym Ball I ordered. The pump referred to in the scant instructions refers to a foot pump which, clearly, this is not. None of the supposed adaptors fit the pump or seem to fit the ball, so it is impossible to inflate! I have returned it. Please Amazon, will you read the reviews and not waste people's time, and disappoint them by sending out faulty goods.
