Nice & Simple November 8, 2007 Mandillion (UK) 18 out of 20 found this review helpful
I've just started using Vista and thought I'd also upgrade my version of Creator from version 9. The new interface is cleaner than the last version and I particularly like the desktop gadgets as I have a Sony PSP and it converts videos for it by drag & drop. If you've used Roxio before the good news is that all the advanced tools are still there if you need them, but for all the day to day stuff like making music CDs or backing up a bit of data, you can now use simple tools instead. The automatic video tool is really nice.
Happy Amazon Buyer! September 30, 2007 M. Livingston (Sheffield, UK) 15 out of 18 found this review helpful
Well, almost! Just loaded this product only to find that nothing's really changed since version 9. Okay, the interface is a little slicker, and a little more Vista-ish in terms of look and feel. But it doesn't really do anything more than v9, and all the familiar weaknesses of previous versions remain very much in place - e.g. hard to navigate and non intuitive menus, and annoying adverts which nag you to upgrade etc. In fairness, it's not a bad piece of software all in all (hence 3 stars). Roxio Easy Media a benchmark software package and maybe we like to put it down a bit, perhaps just because of that. Only Nero comes close as an alternative - but is grey, boxey German software any fun?
Roxio September 22, 2007 Emma Phillips (Grimsby, UK) 14 out of 19 found this review helpful
I have had Easy Media Creator 9 for a long time and I have had no problems with the program I have not had the computer or my laptop crash and I prefer roxio to nero the only thing that makes nero different to roxio is that nero is quicker to produce dvds than roxio is but I would recomend roxio anytime.
Rubbish January 26, 2008 P. L. J. Minns (UK) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
This is the worst piesce of software I have had the misfortune to own. Despite all that it claims to offer the one think it lacks is an Uninstall button which you will need to use regularly. I have not been able to do anything with this software despite the unhelpful repnse from Roxio who will not accept that they have a problem with Creator 10. Be prepared to spend more time contacting Roxio than actually producing anything they claim this software package will do,
9 Crashes frequently September 21, 2007 GriffsMan (Lincoln, UK) 10 out of 23 found this review helpful
Put V9 on a while ago - it constantly crashed my PC and even on laptop when I tried there - when running it hogs processes and killed the PC - just been offered an upgrade to V10 for 20 - they can keep it - why should I pay for a bug ridden program fix! PS Tried to uninstall and it wouldn't - had to put my fallback image on! Don't bother...
