Much better than v. 7 January 2, 2008 Mr. J. Ward (Leeds, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Version 8 of Bullguard is even better than the previous, it is more informative than the previous program, and with more online backup space it is also more useful. The main advantage of bullguard is the customer support which is much better than Norton & McAfee - it only takes one hour to get a reply compared to 24 hours from most other suppliers.
I owe my life to this anti-virus. December 23, 2007 K. A. French (Uk. England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought a new laptop (a lovely Toshiba worth a lot of money) After seeing that on the box it said norton security on the box i uninstalled it striaght away because i and many other people have had problems with norton internet security, many people think its a virus itself once its istalled you cant get rid of it. Anyway, i bought this bullguard from ebay and i didnt know version 8 hadnt been released yet. All went well it was protecting my pc in mins. I went to look up cheats for railroad tycoon 3 on a dodgy site and when i closed the internet explorer window bullgaurd popped up saying it had installed i virus on one of my files. After paying a lot of money for this laptop im so glad it found it striaght away instead of leaving it in the pc for days i couldnt get rid of the virus until i done a scan and it found it striaght away. Thanks god its gone. And thanks bullguard.

This product has no redeeming features except the good looking box. I had a trial CA product on my computer, when I tried to order this online their ordering process tried to trick me into buying more expensive products, so I put Bullguard on my computer. Everything has all but ground to a standstill. I have torn my hair out waiting for applications to open and close, for emails to download, open or delete. NOTHING ON MY COMPUTER WORKS PROPERLY ANYMORE. I have to close the computer down using the off button several times a day, even my printer and modem have become a problem!!!!! When I turned all the Bullguard applications off everything started working perfectly. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!
Windows Vista came to a standstill June 4, 2008 Petra (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It works really well with Windows XP, but as soon as I installed it on my new Windows Vista PC, nothing worked anymore. The whole computer freezes up. Upon restarting the computer and uninstalling Bullguard Version 8 (previous versions did not work with Vista at all I believe) computer works fine again. Tried this several times and decided to look for a different Virus Package.Did a search on the internet to see if anyone else had a problem and it seems I am not alone!
Highly Recommended April 14, 2008 B. Nunn (Sussex) After having read a good review in Computer Active, I decided to buy Bullguard 8. I have had NO problems with this software, surprisingly, as other internet security packages have been slow and has slowed the whole system. It is also really easy to use, even my mother whom is not so adept at using computers and particularly internet security has found it easier than other packages. This brings me to my next point- you can install this in upto 3 different computers, really useful. Also customer support are swift and give clear instructions on any issues you may have. My only gripe is that the programme is not password protected and there are no parental controls, but it does what is says on the box. Which reminds me Bullguard is MORE than just a pretty box.
