| Customer Reviews: Possibly the greatest security suite of all time! September 2, 2008 Shaun Carter (Birmingham, UK.) 56 out of 59 found this review helpful
Take a look at any internet security suite review, whether online or in magazines (PCPro magazine for example), and you'll find Kaspersky rates as one of the best security software currently on the market. Its virus and malware detection rates are amongst the highest you can get. As for the previous review saying Kaspersky caused the blue screen of death, I admit that any software could have compatibility problems, and any user does not know for sure if software will work on their PC. Kaspersky version 2008 did seem to slow down my browser speed, but that problem appears to have been fixed with in the 2009 version. Don't take my word for it, check out the labs tests on the PCPro website.
Kaspersky IS 2009 is the best September 30, 2008 N. Sanderson (PSN: NSanderson) 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
Used to use Kaspersky IS 7 after having years of crappy Norton slowing everything down.
KIS7 was so good I got all my family to upgrade to it from their Norton/McAfee leviathans and they've noticed the PC speed increase.
Recently, my KIS7 subscription expired and so I upgraded to 2009.
Happy to report that my PC is still very quick & no viruses have got through thanks to Kaspersky's almost hourly updates.
Buy it & see the difference.
Excellent product September 1, 2008 Avid Reader (Middle England) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
Am running this on two different XP machines with no problems (also run the 2007 version on a third machine)
This is an excellent security system which so far (touch wood) I have had no problems with unlike Norton & McAfee both of which let viruses into my PC
Don't do it! November 7, 2008 Mr. R. I. Williams (united kingdom) 37 out of 41 found this review helpful
Having used Kaspersky for a number of years I upgraded to 2009 thinking it would be the best yet. Not a chance! Within a short time of booting by computer Kaspersky stopped all functions due to google desktop trying to access the internet. I tried to resolve it but no luck. So I re-installed it thinking it may solve the issue. But no, this time it stoped my computer dead in it's tracks. So I had to do a full system recovery. Trying to contact Kasperskey is another thing, I would have a better chance of robbing a bank than getting to there help desk. So in the end I gave up and risked buying Norton 2009 (I started to use Kaspersky in the first place because of Norton) What a transformation, it has changed so much. Faster than before (though that shouldn't have been a hard thing to do) and so easy to use. Access to there help desk should you need it is easy, either by Phone,E-Mail or direct link to a tech who takes control over your PC to resolve your issues. Kaspersky on the otherhand put you through a MENSA test first and then still refuse to let you contact them. Sorry Kaspersky if you want my loyalty then I want something back in return. And I don't mean a headache! Very Poor.
Fast and unobtrusive, but slightly tricky installation October 27, 2008 richardb (United Kingdom) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This seems to perform anti-virus checking very efficiently and am more than happy. I did have a problem with the installation as it broke my DNS so could not browse the internet (which is annoying when all the help in the world is on the internet). I had removed Norton before as instructed and rebooted - not sure if that caused the issue. But, after uninstalling Kapersky, rebooting, reinstalling, rebooting it came to life and worked.
Great value for money too.
