Product Description The Pantone huey is a true breakthrough in terms of form, function and usability. About the size of a small marker pen, huey delivers excellent results on LCD, CRT and laptop displays and is the first monitor calibration device to continually adjust the monitor as room lighting changes. huey is the latest device for anyone who needs absolute colour clarity. It is distinctly different from professional monitor calibration tools on the market that require a basic understanding of colour management to operate, and allows anyone to get accurate on-screen colour. huey connects to your computer via a USB port and is completely plug and play. Calibration is complete in less than three minutes and will allow you to adjust your monitor dependent on your primary activity, be it viewing images, playing games, creating graphics or just browsing the web.

| Customer Reviews: Incredibly easy colour calibration October 27, 2007 A Common Reader (Sussex, England) 38 out of 38 found this review helpful
I have wondered for some time if when I edit my digital photographs I am actually seeing a true image or whether my monitor has been showing me an image which is too dark, too blue, too pale etc. I purchased Huey and within a very few minutes I had my monitor settings adjusted to perfection, and what's more, Huey keeps it that way.
I thought this was going to be a difficult process, but on the contrary, you just take Huey out of the box, put it in a USB socket, load the software from the disk and follow the on-screen instructions. No more messing about with the monitor menu, or display settings, Huey measures the ambient light in the room, and then takes command of your monitor and eliminates colour cast, contract or light errors all by itself.
Having got it sorted out once and for all, Huey even continues to keep it correct, by measuring the ambient light in the room the computer is in and adjusting the monitor minute by minute.
Anyone who is serious about digital photography or video needs to make sure that their monitor is adjusted correctly. Huey does it for you. You should note however that Huey does not affect printing, just what you see on the screen. A great product and highly recommended.
Screen calibration the safe and easy way June 14, 2007 Balliolman (Truro, Cornwall) 32 out of 32 found this review helpful
The Huey makes screen calibration a simple process with effective results. Colour management is an important subject for digtial imagers yet one easily made complicated. If you want a reliable one stop solution, to get your monitor's colours looking realistic, then the Huey could be for you. The device also monitors, at chosen intervals, the changing light levels within a room and adjusts your screen appropriately -- which is useful when processing and manipulating images. The Huey takes about three minutes to use after which it is always interesting to to compare before and after results!
Good Product awful service February 26, 2009 C. Miller (Brighton, UK) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I ordered the basic Huey which seemed to do a good basic job, easy to set up and use, but I decided I needed to upgrade to the pro version,(another 30 quid) this should be a simple software download. I did the transaction on the Pantone web site, was informed the transaction was ok but I was never able to download the software, I've contacted Pantone via email and tried phoning. They only have a message service in uk so are impossible to contact (don't bother responding to emails sen to the European Office). I was assured twice they would get back to me two weeks later, nothing. Really rotten service.
Looks good so far August 9, 2009 W. J. Mccormack (Sidcup, KENT United Kingdom) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have had this for a week or two but have still to perform the acid test - ie print a picture and then compare.
But I can comment on a couple of things:
Installation is a piece of cake and fun sticking the thing on your screen. Very neat idea.
One thing I have noticed that leads me to believe that it is doing the correct adjustments is the following observation. I was sitting in my office one evening with the fluorescent lights on and I realised that the wallpaper had turned green!!!!
It then hit me what had happened. Normally with fluorescent lights your eye/brain compensates and you are never aware how green fluorescent light is. But my eyes were adjusted for normal daylight, ie my Huey adjusted screen and so when I look at the walls they are green - at least until my eyes readjust. Interesting huh?
I will post more observations because this is an incredibly cheap device if it can really match prints to the screen.
fast and impressive April 7, 2010 Rachie D (Newcastle Upon Tyne) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had had been having problems printing photos from my Toshiba laptop (with no monitor colour control) for a while and had been manually adjusting each photo by running off lots of test prints. I am an art photographer but had been doing a friends wedding photos when I decided enough was enough and bought this product. Very easy to set up and the effects were impressive. I soon discovered my laptop background, instead of the bluey colours I thought it was, was actually a mucky brown! Prints on my canon printer are much better, I would go as almost being perfect.
A few little problems that stop this from being a 5 star review: If anything there is a very slight blue tine, it is very slight and barely noticeable but can make B&W images appear too cold. Also the screen re-calibrates automatically every few minutes which I found a bit excessive to begin with but have now found how to change the settings so it only re-adjusts every 15 minutes now.
Would definitely recommend of those on a budget as the savings on test prints and the quality of my prints with this product will end up saving you more money in the long run.
