| Customer Reviews: Great value and lots of memories! June 19, 2009 Belinda L (London, England) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is not just for Dad! - this is for everyone - especially if you are slightly older and remember all these great tunes. I bought it as I'm having a summer BBQ and wanted some extra music.
The 3 CDs contain a total of 55 tracks, which are known and loved. Ok so I chose the ones I liked and then loaded them onto my ipod for the party, which was quick and easy, and much cheaper than downloads from the net. It also reminded me of many songs I'd forgotten, Peaches by the Stranglers, Unbelievable by EMF, to name just two.
This will also be a fantastic summer driving CD, and also to educate my children, to show them how music used to be, written and played by the bands themselves. And to be fair, they will know the tracks by The Dandy Warhols, and the Killers.
Go on get it - if only to show the kids how to headbang to 'Ace of Spades' by Motorhead.
Mostly good but a couple of niggles June 17, 2010 Paul_UK (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A good compilation of the rock music that I like! A lot of classic tracks with a few recent tracks to compliment the mix.
There are a few tracks that are borderline rock, such as "Hanging on the Telephone" and "Maggie May" but there decent songs anyway.
A couple of tracks have sound quality issues, especially The Killers "Mr Brightside" which is notably distorted, but this may be how it was intended to be?
Overall I am pleased with my purchase, especially as a driving CD!
Check the price of The Best Rock Anthems Ever too though. It is exactly the same compilation and may be cheaper depending on what deals are on at the time. ;)

Fantastic for anyone who loves 60's, 70's and 80's rock music. One of the best CD's I have ever bought. Every song you can sing along to.
