powerful hand held vacuum February 1, 2006 55 out of 55 found this review helpful
I needed to find a small hand-held vacuum cleaner to replace a rechargeable dustbuster which had never really had the oomph to do much cleaning. I found this product to be more than excellent. It runs on the mains and is extremely powerful for its size. At the same time it is really compact and takes hardly any storage space. With the attachments it can be used for cleaning small areas, such as inside the car, but is equally well-suited to cleaning slightly larger areas such as a bed-sit room, so it would be ideal for students. It can both suck to clean and blow to inflate airbeds etc or blow garden leaves for collection etc. As for price, it is much cheaper than many of the much less powerful and poorer performing alternatives. I couldn't have been more impressed with this little vac, the only disappointment was that I hadn't discovered it and bought one years ago. You absolutely won't find better for the money.
Don't waste your time on rechargeable vacuums... July 26, 2007 Scampo (UK) 40 out of 40 found this review helpful
I set out to buy a rechargeable but having found their suction to be really quite poor I was pleased I came across this little beauty. It is a true powerhouse as far as suction is concerned and is very solidly made. It has no batteries to run out after a mere 5-6 minutes (in the case of the new Dyson), either! You'll be surprised just how very powerful it is and yet it's so compact and easy to store. It will certainly be used for far more than what I intended - cleaning up small spills (which is as much as rechargeables can manage). It's entirely fine for larger jobs - stairs, for example. The powerful blower function is a surprise extra - I can imagine it will be excellent for various jobs I hadn't even considered for it. It's very easy indeed to empty and keep the filters clean so maintenance is going to be a cinch. The mains lead is usefully long (6m) and easily, quickly and neatly wraps around the base of the unit, which can then be stored like an iron on its end (it's not much bigger than a steam iron, in fact). Frankly at the price, it's superb value for money. The only negative I can imagine is having a lead attached but as it wraps so easily around the machine, which itself is so very compact, I can't imagine this will prove a problem.

What a great piece of kit. We were amazed how powerful this little devil is, what's more it inflated a double mattress in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommended.
Fantastic mini vac February 22, 2008 von (UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I initially bought the Black & Decker Mini Vac for cleaning the car, other 'Dust Busters' have proved useless, but this had it clean in second. So far I've also used it for cleaning the sofas, stairs and bathroom floor with great success. The range of attachments is great and the suction power is immense... I can't recommend this product enough, its fantastic...
This thing sucks !! April 19, 2008 Brendan O. Clarke (Edinburgh) 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
I have 17 parakeets in my flat, and I hate having to drag out the goddam corded big hoover to clean up seeds and feathers all the time. This Dustbuster really does a good job in sucking up all the mess (suckie, suckie- Full Metal jacket style), although like another reviewer said, I have to be careful what direction I face the exhaust. The crevice tool is stored onboard so it doesn't get lost, and just the right size for cleaning out sliding door tracks (every other vacuum attachment I've tried is just a little too big to actually fit into the groove). They need to figure out a way to store the little upholstery brush onboard, too. The filter really does seem to keep dust from flying around. I ordered a replacement from Amazon to have it on hand, but I haven't needed to use it yet. This vacuum's easy to empty, and designed well so when you put it nose-down in its charger, stuff doesn't fall out like it did with older models.
