Product Description The larger capacity cordless Dualit dome kettle offers a more traditional kettle shape and pouring action. The 3kW element boils quickly, whilst a large integral viewing window allows you to boil no more than you need each time in a stylish polished stainless steel with black trim. Please Note: All electrical products sold by cookinstyle (InStyle Products Limited) are supplied with a UK 3 pin plug

You don't always get what you pay for. October 22, 2007 V. Shaw (UK) 15 out of 17 found this review helpful
We bought this Dualit kettle and a 4 slice Dualit toaster believing that they would last for ages and be value for money (we paid 150 for both). We were wrong! The toaster lasted 18 months and the timer broke. The kettle lasted 3 years and just stopped working one day (reason unknown). We were never happy with the kettle as it was noisy and the boiling water bubbles and spits out of the kettle when you pour it as if it were boiling in the spout.
NOT value for money November 7, 2007 mutson (UK) 10 out of 12 found this review helpful
We bought the Dualit Dome kettle along with a toaster when we had a new kitchen thinking that they would last forever & give good service. Toaster has been OK although tends to toast more on one side & takes some getting used to for timings...the kettle however, very noisy, spits hot water out of the spout when boiled, and broke after three years. We sent it back to Dualit who said they couldn't mend it but would give us a 25% discount on replacement. However having read recent reviews all having problems with the kettles I think I will decline their offer and buy cheap!!!!
Design Faults and Dangerous - Avoid January 5, 2008 J. Gleeson (London) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought one of these and it literally blew up after three weeks, massive bang and fuised everything. I returned it and got a replacement. Within a month it started blowing fuses again. After several loud bangs and tripping fuses, strange crackling noises from the base which got hot, it stopped working completely. I discovered I am not alone, friends bought ther same kettle and had the same problem. It looks great, but has serious design faults. I have bought a Philips kettle!
All show and no go December 29, 2007 M. Meredith (UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We purchased this kettle because of the Dualit name, the style and the fast boil. It lasted about 2 years and then stopped working for no reason. As with the other reviewers it spits water when pouring and, when I wrote to Dualit to tell them, they just told me to leave the kettle to stand after boiling! So a kettle that can't be used to dispense boiling water!!! In my books a kettle only has to do three things: 1. Boil water quickly and pour it 2. Look good 3. Be reliable The Dualit only looks good. Spend your money elsewhere and get a real product that works and lasts. Load of old rubbish.
How 'GREEN' is a Dualit February 15, 2008 Disillusioned 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
My Dualit dome kettle recently failed. The element had gone. I thought I'd just telephone the company and organise a replacement element. I was informed that the company that actually manufactured this kettle had gone into liquidation and so no elements or parts are available. It is interesting to note that Dualit don't actually manufacture these items, presumably they just put their name on them. So when you purchase a Dualit product - you don't know which company it originates from, or if that company will be around to provide parts? I also learned that NO Dualit kettle can have the element replaced! (Not very 'green!') But, I guess these overpriced items are very profitable.
