Somewhat sceptical about these types of things I thought I'd try one anyway. I'm now buying another two. One to cover the rest of the back garden and another to cover the front garden too. Need I say more?

I got one of these because i brought a new car which i have started parking in the back yard. (after knocking the wall down)
anyway next door has 2 cats and one of them has been sitting on my car and i noticed it is scraching it. so i looked for something to get rid of them coming in the back yard and this has done the trick. i have not seen a cat since. get 1.
It comes with a very long lead so you should be able to plug it in. and it is water proof too.

We bought this more out of desperation, rather than with any belief that it would actually work. However, it REALLY does. There are two cats next door, and despite our two large dogs, the cats had eaten loads of the fish from the pond, pooed all over our garden and stalked (and murdered quite a few) of all the birds that come to our bird table. Yes, for all you cat lovers, I know that is what cats do - but we just didn't want them doing it in our garden. Koi are quite expensive!!
It really is a case of just plugging it in and 'aiming' it at whatever you want the cat to keep away from - and then just leaving it to do its work. You can set it up on the fence (this is where we have got ours) but there is quite a long wire to it, so you can plug it in and put it anywhere in even a large garden. It does cover quite a large area as well, so we have both the bird table and the pond protected - as well as the majority of our garden.
I was very sceptical - epecially as there is really no way of knowing that it is working. Humans can't hear the frequency, but it apparently emits a frequency that cats don't like, which means they wont come anywhere near it. It also doesn't affect dogs or birds at all. Hubby set it up, and believe it or not, the buggers haven't been anywhere near the garden since. Not even once. For the first few days, I still wasn't convinced that it did work and spent many hours looking out of the garden just in case. The nearest one of the cats has been is putting it's head over the fence once when it was fist set up. They then must have heard the noise and legged it back home and hasn't been seen since!
Fantastic piece of kit, you would never know it was there and I still can't believe it, but it worked for us. It has to be worth a try

I bought 2 cat scarers, 1 for the car-port and the other for the other end of my small garden. Both were kept under cover.
Only one has worked properly, it did take about a week of the cats staring at it before they got fed up with it. It's kept the carport free from cat pee & poo. But this is now starting to pack up after 3 months! If I tap it it starts working again and you can hear the quiet bleep. The other one has the led light on but makes no sound and the cats curl up and sleep by it!!
A BAD buy especially as I have seen them locally for a lot less money.

Installed this device a few weeks ago and I haven't seen a cat since! I was a little sceptical but cat gard proved me wrong. No more having to put pellets down and then having the rain wash the scent away. My lawn is now mess free and any cat that goes near the garden soon runs off!
