Really good quick reference guideFebruary 7, 2008 Jane(UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This a really easy book to use. It has a guide in the back where you can see which oils are recommended for a particular problem either emotional (e.g. feeling down) or physical (e.g. dry skin) and it will recommend several oils to suit your needs. It also goes though each oil in turn and tell you how the oil should be used (for example added to a bath, in a drink, or burned). Additionally it provides warnings about when the oil is not safe to use (e.g. not suitable during pregnancy).
However, aside from its quick reference purposes it is not so helpful. A bigger thicker book would be needed for detailed descriptions of how to mix and use the oils and if you know nothing about aromatherapy oils I wouldn't recommend you buying just this book alone. Think about buying it along with The Fragrant Pharmacy which is a lot more thorough (and a lot more pages). I like both bokks for different reasons and am glad I own them both.
