Wonderful !!! November 7, 2007 Jimmy G (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My wife writes... "I have used a maternity tens machine to bring both of my children into the world, and I can guarantee anyone that these DO work !!! I thought at one stage that it wasn't doing anything, and so turned it off........ and then back on again, when I realised just how much good it was doing ! The ELLE TENS is wonderful to use, and kept the pain at bay right through to 8cm dilated, when a little pethedin was needed to help out aswell. For all of us that wish to give birth as naturally as possible, these is an absolute must !"
A bit useless, really November 5, 2007 hag (UK) 3 out of 18 found this review helpful
While quite useful in dealing with general discomfort leading up to birth, such as backpain and very mild Branston Hicks contractions (on full boost), this product is nearly useless when pre-labour becomes more intense, and completely useless once labour really kicks in. Like an aspirin during an amputation.... But that's the nature of child birth, I suppose, and probably simply indicates the natural limit of this technology. For all I know this tens might be the best there is. And if you have a very high pain threshold (does aspirin during amputations seem reasonable to you?) this product may yet give you some relief. But for real relief from pain during labour, go straight for the epidural - don't muck about with this natural childbirth malarky. We humans battled long and hard to overcome a badly designed birth process, it seems quite perverse not to use the advanced technology we have created to make things easier, less painful - and SAFER. Oh, and the sticky bits that stick the electrodes to your back stop sticking after a week or so, and then become detached and fall off - and believe me, no woman in pre-labour or labour just lies still, so they will come off.
Fantastic TENS machine, well worth the money! December 6, 2007 C. Jones (UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
"I will recommend your product to all my friends it was a God send and I highly recommend this to amazon customers, who is looking for a natural pain relief.
THE best tens machine EVER!! February 1, 2008 Kat (Cardiff) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Highly recommend this machine to all those non-believers, its all I used throughout my labour and birth. No gas and air or pethidine, totally relaxed me and controlled my pain, even the midwifes were amazed and wondering if the tens machines work.. trying to force gas and air down my neck (no way no way it makes you puke and id feel a hell of worse then!) One of the pads came off during labour and landed on my partner-almost gave him an electric shock! Hee hee have some of that ya sod!! My son came out very healthy and not doped up - 9/10 apcap score Well worth the money
