Simply the Best June 26, 2004 Antony Williams 65 out of 66 found this review helpful
I have used Braun products for MANY years, through all of their models up to and including the latest. My main concern with Braun was brush life - never got one to last more than 6 weeks and with 2 of us using the toothbrush it was not cheap. I bought the Philips HX7351 Sonicare Electric Toothbrush in September 2003 as a special intro package and it took a couple of days to get used to. WOW, what a difference from the Braun - our teeth are cleaner and it is so much quieter to use. But the main advantage is brush life - the original brushes have lasted us 9 months and still have more mileage! If you want the best dental hygiene at the lowest ongoing cost, buy yourself the Philips HX7351 Sonicare Electric Toothbrush.
A little wonder September 16, 2004 46 out of 47 found this review helpful
Before I purchased this, I did my homework thoroughly. I asked Dentists what to buy, asked friends what they used and ,of course, read reviews on Amazon. I now have this fabulous toothbrush and it's proving to be the best thing I have ever bought. It leaves you teeth feeling like they do when you have had them professionally cleaned. It takes a bit of getting used to as you don't "Scrub" but just gently guide the brush around the 4 areas of your mouth. The Toothbrush helpfully beeps at you every 30 seconds to remind you to move to the next quadrant. This 2 minute cycle is far better than my previous haphazard regime with conventional toothbrushes as it enforces a comprehensive brushing pattern. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and have no coffee stains and my teeth are visibly whiter. The feeling of clean teeth lasts almost all day after a morning brush. If there is more than 1 of you in the family, you will need to purchase additional brush heads (not currently sold by Amazon). I found a single costs 15 and you can buy a double pack that retails for 25 but it's genuinely worth it.

Our family has been a user of Braun products for many years, and although they are reliable, they just do not get food from between teeth. I live in California and I purchased this unit several months ago and since then, out teeth hygiene has dramatically increased. We no longer need to floss so often, a touch of gingivitis has gone and our teeth certainly look cleaner and more sparkly. Give this Sonic brush a trial - I am here at Amazon buying one for my sister in Surrey for her Christmas present!
My Dentist Just Complimented Me On My Brushing ;-) March 1, 2004 38 out of 41 found this review helpful
Oh My God! I've just had a GREAT experience at my first 6-monthly checkup since buying my Philips HX7351 Sonicare Electric Toothbrush. After the standard amount of prodding about inside my mouth (I'd noticed that the dentist had not done any of the scraping that usually goes on), my dentist said to me "I have to say that I'm really impressed with your brushing". Woo hoo ;-) Not only that, but because the "Scrape & Polish" was not required, I saved about 15! My Mum has just started to use the spare head (the more the merrier I say). She is very pleased about the condition of her teeth after just a few days later. She tells me that there's a really noticable improvement in the colour of my teeth. I'm still self concious about this, but it helps to hear good news like that. MONEY WELL SPENT!!!
Well worth the money July 29, 2004 38 out of 38 found this review helpful
I used to use a Braun Oral B electric toothbrush but always felt like it was scouring my teeth instead of cleansing them. The Sonicare Elite has a softer brush and even though it spins round at an alarming rate it feels much gentler on my teeth. It takes a bit of getting used to, if you open your mouth wide it splashes all over the place. The Braun made my teeth feel just as clean but with the Sonicare Elite they don't feel as though they have been scrubbed with adrasives! The only thing that lets it down is it's top heavy and always falling over, I wish it came with a proper stand. Also the replacement brush heads are costly, hope Amazon will start selling them at a reduced rate!!
