Works Well January 13, 2008 Samsonite (London, UK) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
There is no problem with having to measure the pressure using the detachable gauge. If you leave the gauge attached and connect the hose (which screws onto the valve instead of those stupid clamps), you can see the pressure of your tyres by pressing the button on the guage. If you need to pump the tyre up, hit the "on" switch. If the tyre is over-inflated (quite common when having new tyres fitted), press the release valve (a great feature) to bring the pressure down. The quietest and most robust pump I've used. It's easy to pack away too!
Unsafe! December 27, 2007 J. Ryan (UK) 11 out of 16 found this review helpful
I have owned several tyre inflators, this being the most expensive and the worst. The fundamental problem is that when you try to get achieve an accurate pressure on your tyres this is done by using the seperate pressure gauge to assess the current pressure, then connect up the inflator and then afterwards check that the correct pressure has been achieved by the seperate gauge, invariably it hasn't. It is inaccurate and a nuisance to use. When I have sanity checked my tyres against a reliable petrol stations' inflator, there is no consistency on my tyres. Either inflate your tyres with nitrous or get any other device than this.

Useless! May 20, 2008 NorthernSoul (Sussex, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Correctly inflated tyres are essential for safe motoring. This device is innccurate, both under and over inflating tyres when working properly. A separate accurate tyre gauge is essential when using this product. Thankfully mine has now failed (shows a reading of 120 psi no matter what the actual tyre pressure - thereby won't automatically inflate) after 2 years use. Avoid this over-priced item!
WELL DONE MICHELIN!!! June 6, 2008 Mr. I. L. Jackson (UK) This piece of kit is worth its weight in gold. It is very accurate and very quickly inflate a tyre from near flat. I proved itself when i had a lump of steel in my tyre and pulled into a garage to pump the tyre up only to find the air gauge wahad been vandalised.. & this seems to always in Milton Keynes.
