Product Description After cooking, always leave the pan to stand for 10 minutes. Do not plunge a hot pan into cold water or fill with cold water as thermal shock and damage to the vitreous enamel may occur. Then, fill with warm water. Leave again for 10 minutes before washing with the Le Creuset Pot & Pan Cleaner. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not leave the pan to drain or put away whilst still damp. Remove stubborn residues with a sponge scourer or nylon cleaning pad only. Do not use metal scourers or any abrasive cleaners – they may damage the vitreous enamel surface.Pans with wooden handles should not be washed in a dishwasher. The outer vitreous enamelled surface of the pan will retain its new appearance if polished occasionally with the special Le Creuset “Pots & Pans Cleaner”. But do not use it on the inner black enamelled surface – it would remove its patina.
Customer Reviews:
UsefulOctober 13, 2007 AMAZON REVIEWER when a really stubborn stain presents.
Recommended for use on Le Creuset CAST IRON pans and casseroles, simply apply the solution to a clean pan with a soft cloth, rinse and polish.
Although I have to admit that I have not found a need to use this product as all items wash up really well in hot, soapy water or most can now be placed in a dishwasher*.

If the correct cooking temperature has been used then cleaning your cookware is that much easier. Hot soapy water can be used but make sure the pan has cooled before washing, and then rinse and dry thoroughly. NEVER fill a hot cast iron item with cold water, or plunge into water for soaking. You can remove stubborn food residues before washing with a plastic or sponge scourer only - do not use metal scourers or abrasive cleaners of any kind.
Also available for really stubborn stains is our special LE CREUSET Pots and Pans cleaner. Dry pans thoroughly after washing - do not leave to drain or put away while still damp. Pans with metal or plastic handles may be washed in a dishwasher.'
*Wooden handled products should not be put in a dishwasher.
