Shop aroundAugust 29, 2007 S. Dignam(Scotland) 40 out of 58 found this review helpful
I haven't bought this product but have a bit of advice. An HDMI cable for your new ps3 and HDTV is exactly what you need, however shop around. I have looked everywhere for a "cheap" one and have heard all sorts of people saying the expensive ones are better because they are coated in some form of gold/titanium/diamonds and will cook clean and make your dinner. Bottom line it's a cable pure and simple, yes you might get slightly better quality with an expensive one but I found a small shop and got a cable for a tenner. It does exactly what it says on the tin. No bells and whistles but I get a good picture and I never paid a fortune.
The small independant shops will liklely do you a better deal on one so don't just jump right in and pay over the odds, unless you have no patience in which case go for it. Hope this helps.

This cable does not support 760p or 1080i with my LE32R87BDX Samsung LCD TV. It only supports 576p at first I thought my TV was not HD but on buying a Sony 1.3A HDMI CABLE I am now operating at 1080i and the PS3 Games are unreal!!! If you have a Samsung LCD I would advise you not to buy this cable!!!
LOSS OF QUALITY? HA! ITS DIGITAL!January 17, 2008 Neyton Yawl(uk) 19 out of 22 found this review helpful
I don't understand why people seem to think that buying a more expensive HDMI cable will result in better video/audio quality. IT"S DIGITAL! It doesn't suffer from degradation in that way like an analog cable.
In the music industry i see people spending a fortune on expensive digital optical cables thinking they are gonna get cleaner audio.
Fact is a better quality digital cable will do 2 things better.
1: it could be more robust, build quality is surely worth money in my opinion. 2: Assuming a better manurfacturing process the cable will be less likely to cause dropouts.
As far as quality goes though digital is digital is digital, don't be fooled by expensive cables unless you want a more robust well made cable.
Works for meOctober 13, 2007 D. Rivett(Southampton, UK) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
I have a Samsung LE32R41BD TV and this HDMI cable absolutely works fine at 720p and 1080i (I don't have a 1080p tv).
I guess you could try changing the output type in the settings? But works fine for - Amazon wouldn't be able to sell (let alone bundle) an HDMI cable that doesn't support HD.

Great HDMI cable which does what its supposed to. It provides a quality crisp, clear image via 720p and 1080i resolutions on my Samsung hdtv and looks brilliant. Only gave it 4 stars as i haven't compared it with other cables on the market and cannot account for its 1080p output.
All in all a great item and a great deal with the 40gb PS3 (Get this cable free with the PS3 :P can't argue with that now can ya)
