1 out of 5 stars Extremely bad fit   July 9, 2006

These earphones (both MX70 and MX70 VC) are actually quite big. Having tried them with both ear adapters supplied I was not able to get a good fit, so they would literally just hang on the pinna and fall out with a simple turn of the head, not to mention any sort of exercise. The sound is ok, but the bass is too weak as the phones do not reach deep enough into the ear. They do look great and are very robust indeed, yet fail their main purpose. Do consider other models.

Bought a pair of these for my new Zen, assuming as sennheiser they would bound to be big improvement on the in box set. Big dissapointment, don't fit ear well, wire inflexible so gets in way all the time, and sound quality signifcantly inferior (tinny sound) vs in box Zen headphones. Will have to look for something else.

Got to agree with the previous reviews, just wish I'd seen them before buying these.

These are without a doubt the worst fitting headphones I have ever been unlucky enough to endure. I've requested an exchange or refund from Sennheiser. I can't understand why they were released, surely the designers actually tried them and realised how poorly they fit? Unless you have elephant ears avoid this product. Not suitable for any sport in which you move.

4 out of 5 stars Normal Ears   February 6, 2008

I have normal size ears and thus can get these earphones in properly. The sound quality is very good and they are very comfortable.

I pulled them out a bit to see if the sound quality was affected and surprise surprise. If they are not a snug fit in the ear - the sound loses all its bass and becomes very 'tinny' - as the previous reviewers state
