I recently purchased an ipod vidoe 80GB and wasnt very happy with what skins and covers that there were avaiable till I bought this. Fits very well as the 60GB and 80GB are the same size. Brilliant product.
Not Perfect, but Highly Recommended February 15, 2007 Robert Groom (UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
I picked one of these up while in Boston last week, to protect my iPod Video 80GB. I've had various protective covers for my gadgets over the years, but this one is truly the best designed for the job, and attention to detail is excellent. The cover comes in 3 parts. 1. The skin itself, which is a rubbery (presumably silicone) cover that stretches over the iPod giving it comlete protection except for the headphone socket, the screen and a small flap at the bottom for the I/O port, which plugs into the port when not in use to protect it. The click wheel is also covered, though it operates well, if making it slightly less slick to slide your finger over its surface. For some reason, the manufacturers have seen fit to mold the words and symbols on the click wheel into the cover, which is slightly bizarre, as it doesn't enhance its appearance, though it does interfere very slightly when sliding fingers around its circumference to adjust volume etc. The very fact that the iPod is encased in a millimeter or so of rubber will also help to reduce the impact should you drop it on a hard surface like a wooden floor. It's a worthwhile investment for this very reason. Also, it makes the iPod surface far less slippery and so far less likely to slide about. I notice this particularly when it's sat on the passenger seat of my car or propped up against something to make the screen more watchable. 2. The screen protector, which is a molded acrylic insert, fits neatly into the rubbery skin with a splash and dust resistant overlapping seal. Note that unlike the screen of the iPod, which is polycarbonate (a scratch resistant plastic) this is perspex, and so is not as scratch resistant, and wiping or polishing it roughly will lead to scratching if you aren't careful. 3. A belt clip, which is probably best removed from the outset unless you particularly need a belt clip, as it makes the iPod significantly less pocketable. Make sure you read the instructions before doing this. It's important to make sure you wipe as much dust as possible from the iPod and the inside of the cover before fitting it, as dust on the screen of the iPod when watching video content is very annoying, but this is a relatively simple task. So, the positives: 1. Improved impact protection. 2. Complete scratch protection. 3. Some splash protection. 4. Stays put on slippery surfaces. The negatives: 1. Hides the beautiful iPod. 2. iPod may not fit into some docking stations with this fitted. 3. Click wheel operation is slightly less slick. 4. Dust caught behind the screen can be annoying. 5. Makes the iPod very slightly more bulky. However, pretty much any iPod protector will have the same negatives (except possibly no.3), so these shouldn't be seen as exclusive to the iSkin. In summary - is it a good purchase for the money? Yes, definately. you won't be disappointed. Could it be improved on? Yes, removing the unnecessary molded-in symbols from the click wheel cover.
If there was a 12 star id give it that- essential for your iPod December 19, 2006 The Artist 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
When i bought my iPod video, (30GB version) i was worried about how easily the iPods screen and the device in general scratched, so i hunted the net for a case that would protect; -the screen -the ipods surface -and make it a little tougher and shock resistant This case fits all of these, it completely covers the iPod, i detached the belt clip though as it makes in non sleek and a little clumbsy, but your iPod is covered totally then. The screen part of this skin is tough hard crystal clear plastic, it is hard to scratch and gives your iPod maximum protection. The iPod wheel is covered but using it is still easy as this part of the cover is thinner than the rest so it still has maximum sensitivity and is still protected. The case is not too bulky although it doesnt look as sleek as the iPod on its own, alike any case, but at least this one has some style. The rubber casing makes your iPod safe from drops, though i dont recommend you go about testing it, i already did, no damage or breaking to my iPod from dropping from 6ft on carpet, wood, concrete. No damage in rolling it across these surfaces. All in all, this is one sleek and tough-ass skin for your iPod, id recommend it to anyone who cares about their iPod. Top marks here!

this is an absolutley brilliant product. I have had a 3rd generation ipod for the past three years and the first accsesory i bought for that was an iskin, it protected my ipod so well that it still looks like the day it was bought, NO scratches at all. Being very suitably impressed by my previous iskin and buying a 60gb ipod 3 days ago, the first accsesory i bought again was an i skin evo3. On first impressions i love the way it looks and also the way absolutley everything is covered up, including the click wheel, If you want your ipod to look as good as the day you bought it in a years time or even in 2 weeks time (ipods easily scratch especially the back being metal) Then buy this product! oh yeah it doesnt fit you intempo speakers but that doesnt matter. taking it out every once and again there is no harm done. I would never trust any other maker than iskin, and therefore for me this is the best product on the market
Best iPOD cover/case on the Market! February 13, 2007 Eskimo Joe (UK) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very happy with the iSkin EVO3EC1-B eVo3 case for my iPod video 80GB. I chose to remove the and store (bin) the naff belt clip tho. I have constantly used it for the passed 2 weeks without any problems. It does attract a little dust under screen cover but it can be removed and cleaned in seconds. Most other iPod users I know who have other types of casing have been similarly impressed in its simple, neat design and have enquired how much/where can I get one? The price is a little high for a skin cover but compared to cheaper versions - it's well worth the extra investment to keep the vunerable screen - scratch free. I guess the next version - the eVo4iSkin maybe even better!!!
