I was given one as a present, and thought here we go, another of those useless things. Now I cannot live without it. I am a busy professional on the move and I don't have to carry my laptop with me anymore. This gadet has all my files, emails etc etc on a thing the size of a lighter. Easy to set up with simple instructions. Easy to carry in your pocket or handbag. Just plug into any computer and all your files are there in one click. How ever did I cope before Cruzer

I was given one of these as a gift and found it eminently useful, however the case is VERY cheap and flimsy, and after a few weeks of use it ceased to work with no warning whatsoever.
Ironically it chose to do this when I plugged it in to back-up the files on it onto a DVD. While none of the information was irreplaceable, the 4gb of files lost is a considerable nuisance.
Do a search for "sandisk cruzer doesn't work" on Google and you'll find this is far from an isolated case. Wouldn't recommend at all.

I only bought this USB because it was available in 8GB at this price. From its image it looks good enough to buy but in reality, it's made of cheap plastic, seems very fragile and only God what will happen if you accidently drop it on a concrete surface. The reliability of this storage device is not good at all. When I plugged it in to my laptop for the first time, it already had some software which I did not like so I deleted them. Stored some files, updated few files and complied a new file. When I tried to re-open these files, all newly compiled and re-saved files very corrupted. Despite my all efforts could not recover them at all. Effectively, I have wasted my money and so much time compiling these new file which this new stupid device not save. Will not recommend this item to anyone.

the plastic case is poor quality and flimsy

Brilliant product. Excellent built in software and fast speed. However the weak looking keyring attachment suggests it is emminently loseable with which I complied sooner than I would have wished.
