Camera really does not fit October 16, 2007 Dr. W. E. Allen (Belfast, UK) 37 out of 45 found this review helpful
I ordered this case for my S5700 because the size and shape of the camera means that most cases are not suitable. Needless to say with this being 'made' by Fuji especially for the S5700 I expected it to be the perfect fit. It is not. It took me a while to work out how to get the camera in at all (no instructions included) and while the camera itself fits with some forcing there is no room for the camera's strap. All in all a very poor case, especially as it is quite pricey. Avoid.
WHO EVER DESIGNED THIS SHOULD BE SACKED!!!! October 30, 2007 Jason Thorne (England / Oxford) 24 out of 35 found this review helpful
Bought this Fuji Finepix case to put my camera in which I will state is a Fuji S5700 camera so it is made to fit or so you think. You need a degree in angles to work out which way the camera goes in to the case when you have finally managed to get the camera in you can't zip the case up because the camera is to big or the case is to small. Then you are left with the camera shoulder strap hanging out which you then have to push in some how. How a company with so much experience in camera's can sell this to the paying public saying that the camera WILL FIT is a total disgrace. The person that gave this the green light in the design room should be sacked as far as I am concerned and what makes it worse he is more than likely on 50,000 a year plus. Do not waste your money on this case you can get a case of the market that will do the job you have been warned.
Perfect Fit December 1, 2007 Tim Davies (Sussex, England) 17 out of 19 found this review helpful
Do not believe the above reviews. The camera fits very snugly into the case, even with the shoulder strap attached. The side pocket even has space for a spare set of batteries and a spare SD card. In all, a good case. Shame it doesn't have a belt strap!
Just go for it - it's fine! January 5, 2008 Mr. Robert Bakewell (UK) 9 out of 12 found this review helpful
Well I didn't have the fortune of reading the 4th and 5th review and decided to trundle into town (camera in hand) based on the advice of the first two muppets to try out the case. A three year old could work out how to put it in the case (without instructions) and it's fine - I bought the case from the shop and have previously thought very highly of Amazon and the dozens of things I have bought online but feel they really should vet these reviews as two of the three reviews from 2007 are misleading - they have lost you a sale. IGNORE THE DOOM MONGERS
Perfect fit for S5800 January 9, 2008 L. W. Newton (Nottingham, U.K.) 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Having read other reviews on this case I was a little apprehensive about buying it, however my worries were unfounded. The camera fits perfectly including the camera strap, yes it is a snug fit and the camera fits only one way around, but surly you cannot get this wrong. The case is well made and offers a small pouch on the front of the case that is ideal for 4 batteries & memory cards, comes with a good shoulder strap as well. Don't be put off by the other reviews as this case is a perfect fit for the S5700 & S5800.
