It has one of the most intuitive usages. what a camera December 15, 2006 A. Johnston (UK) 47 out of 47 found this review helpful
A fantastic camera at an incredible price. I bought the camera 2 weeks ago and have had some fantastic photos from it. Used them on the PC and printed them off and all excellent quality. Got one blown up to 10 x 8 and there is no fuzziness or blurring - it looks as good as the standard 7 x 5 photos. Recommend a 512mb memeory card as well as camera only holds 10 photos on its own memory. This is my 2nd digital camera and is light years ahead of the fuji 4mp camera I had before. Well done Olympus
Good budget camera February 8, 2007 P. Callaghan 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
Good points: Low price. Simplicity. Good quality results. Runs of disposable batteries - good when traveling. An effective anti shake system. Not so good: No viewfinder - Since you cant see the screen in bright sunlight, daylight shots can be a bit of a lottery. Lens only f3.1, rather than the expected F2.8 - Low light performance is not the best. High battery consumption - 40 shots on a set of alkalines, but it does just need 2 AA's. Overall a good budget choice.
Costly and impractical due to battery consumption September 26, 2007 Dale Morrall (London, England) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This camera takes some good outdoor shots that are sharp and have good colour. Indoor shots are not so good even with the flash - they can often appear very grainy. The worst thing about this camera is the battery life. I am using two rechargable AA NiMH 2700 mAh batteries (above what Olympus recommend) and after a full charge I am lucky to take a dozen shots before the batteries are dead. And if you then decide to view the pictures you just took on the built in screen, then the power is drained even quicker. Because of this I have not been able to use the camera as everytime I have taken it out it is unusable after 30 minutes. I would not recommend this camera for the above reasons.
Not a good buy January 13, 2008 P. Cheadle (Birmingham, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wouldn't advise buying this camera.I've had bad results with shots taken at night, in low light and for shots at a distance. I was so disappointed with the camera that I aready bought another one, a Sony Cybershot, which I'm very pleased with.
Very Disappointing March 28, 2008 J. Benson (Cheshire UK) Slow shutter speed - useless for anything other than posed shots/landscape, and certainly not suitable spontaneous pictures or fidgety kids ! Battery life - terrible - was costing me so much that i had to buy a rechargable battery kit just for this camera. Poor quality pictures in low light , flash, or movement shots.. even when taken on the correct settings. Had this less than a year and am thinking about changing it or even going back to my conventional camera (yes, it really is that bad !)
