Good for a Quickie February 10, 2007 Michael Jones (Honiton, Devon) 53 out of 53 found this review helpful
I Bought this charger for two reasons. Firstly it's ability to charge batteries in one hour, secondly its in car use. Despite The Sprint's bulky design and crazy placing of the power in put so that during charging it becomes twice the length, it does come witn an in car charger so it met that need, but to charge the full 4 2700 mah batteries (supplied) it takes closer to two hours. (Tells you this in the small print). This however is not my biggest problem with this charger. Using my standard six hour Uniross charger at home and charging my 2700 mah batteries for the full six hours I can take in the region of 300 shots with my digital Fuji S 5600 camera, yet when using the Sprint for the full two hour charge the same batteries struggle to take 150 shots. I have given this charger 3 stars because it is a very useful piece of equipment to have in the car as a back up charger and albiet in the small print Uniross does let you know the shortfalls of this model. If you are only going to buy one battery charger then try a different model with a longer charge time, but if you are looking for a handy back up to keep in the car this is for you.
top charger December 1, 2006 D. Palmer (Cumbria) 30 out of 32 found this review helpful
it's compact when not in use so stores nicely, The charge is over in less than 2 hours (better than 16 hours with the old one). The batteries that come with it are very high mah so they do not go dead as quick. It also comes with a car adapter which is good as i bought this to go this my new camera, so now if the batteries die when out and about they can be charged up in the car.
Poor Quality October 6, 2007 D. Baxter (England) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I have used Uniross charges for many years and been very happy with them so i had no hesitation in buying this 1, but i wish I had. The charger is very unreliable takes a lot of fiddling to get the batterys to charge some batterys i cant get to charge in this at all (all Uniross brand batteries). It is very rare that i can get 4 batterys to charge at the same time normally only 1 side works. The batteries do not feel very secure when in the charger. The charger has finally gone in the bin as underneath on one side the plastic has melted. I hope this is a blip in uniross's unsual high quality range of chargers.
Good charger but no car adapter December 19, 2006 Snospar 16 out of 19 found this review helpful
A previous review stated that this charger came with a car adapter for charging batteries on the move - this was not the case with the item I received and there is no mention of an adapter in the packaging or instructions. Other than that I am very happy with the charger, it does indeed fully charge the 4x 2500maH in around 1 hour and is very compact.
Unreliable July 21, 2007 Jean Stevenson (Orpington UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I'm really not happy with this - if I still had the packaging I would return it. Agree with the comments about the batteries not secure in their compartments - to the extent that it takes much fiddling about, pressing down to get both lights flashing. Usually one lit will go out, leaving the batteries unequally charged. Extra charging time needed to balance them out. Good idea to keep it as a spare.
