I should start with the fact that I have a couple of Transcend 2GB cards, and they work fine. I have filled them up with pics on my vacation, no problems at all.
However, I complained to Amazon about their "concealed" pricing for postage for Marketplace sellers, and unfortunately they don't give a t*ss. They said that the postage costs are "clearly" described on their website. They are, if you seek them out! But their rigid postage cost policy is nuts. Electronics items cost 9 regardless. So a tiny SD Card costs 9 postage, and two tiny SDCards costs double! But to be fair, if you are a Marketplace seller and want to charge 10 for your SDCard, you have no choice but to advertise it at 1. If you have a product below 10, it makes no sense to sell it via Amazon at all.
This is Amazon's fault, not the seller's. In my opinion, Amazon are being dishonest by (a) not showing the postage costs clearly on the same page as the item in question (you only get to find out at checkout, if you pay attention), and (b) by - as in this case - saying "29.99 reduced to 2.25" when a large part of the "cost saving" is actually consumed by the postage!! Now that doesn't seem fair to me.
Amazon is worse than Ebay in this respect, who (now) are much more up-front about postage charges; and with Ebay you kind of expect this kind of thing. Sorry Amazon, but you are complicit in misleading your customers my making apparent offers that are not actually available. Airlines etc. are being regulated into including all unavoidable charges in the advertised price - it looks like regulation is required to bring Amazon into line.

Without question, this card is the ultimate in design and spaciousness as well as engineering: it can hold around 500 pictures more than its little brother the 1 GB card and works a lot better in allmost every way! I used cards like this before, but none as powerful, spatious or well-made as this one. It`s giant - all any serious photographer [unlike myself] would ever really need, want or care for. I would only really reccomend it to some one who is extremely serious about photography simply because of its huge size. With a chip like this there will be no more deleting of pictures or video clips and you can store data for ages whilst still being an enthusiastic photographer. If your camera can take video clips and you want to use this feature than this card is just the thing for you, because with it one you can have all the benifits of some decent length clips as well as nearly 1000 pics! no one can possibly not love it!

extortionate delivery - shop elsewhere November 6, 2007 K. Handley (england) 49 out of 60 found this review helpful
for something that weighs so little I cannot see how they can justify a 4.50 p+p cost PER ITEM - no combining of postage for multiple puchases.
All such electronic purchases from marketplace incur this delivery charge. I advise you to shop elsewhere.
Card OK. Post & packing, NOT. Amazon: clean up your act. February 23, 2008 Usherette (Cumbria, UK) 37 out of 40 found this review helpful
Amazon UK is running the risk of breaching UK consumer legislation.
I've had yet another email from it advising me of the latest "Amazon Clearance" sale. Yet the clearance sale is anything but.
This is because Amazon UK used to sell what it advertised. Whereas now, it doesn't. Instead, it's increasingly a platform for hundreds, if not thousands, of other sellers, all of whom are required to charge a level of P&P that, when factored in to the overall purchase price, is frequently, and absurdly, uncompetitive compared with products from post-free outfits like My Memory etc.
The term "Amazon Marketplace" is a cosmetic device as Amazon UK knows full well. No, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the 'marketplace' -- but there sure is something wrong with distributing millions of Amazon UK "clearance sales" emails when that to which they overwhelmingly relate are products from Amazon Marketplace sellers.
This sort of misleading conduct really has to stop. It does Amazon's customers no service and it does Amazon's reputation harm. If Amazon UK is having a clearance sale of Amazon UK supplied products, then that's exactly what that sale should be. Not an exercise in promotional hype for third-party sellers with no connection to Amazon other than the "rent" they pay for the space occupied on the Amazon site.
As to this SD card, I've rated it at *5 because it's grossly misleading for others here to saddle it with a low score when they're not commenting at all on the product but on the P&P costs they paid to get it.
