Product Description TomTom presents a new powerhouse of technology: the TomTom One V3! This GPS has a host of detailed road maps stored in its internal memory to make your journey as pleasant as possible. Its also equipped with a 3.5" anti-glare touch screen that will guide you along the roads of Europe. Plus, its RDS-RMC input lets you hook up an optional TMC antenna and avoid traffic jams and road works. Meanwhile, its MAPSHARE feature lets you modify road maps, road names, information regarding the direction of traffic and other elements. You can then send these changes to other TomTom GPS users from your computer (TomTom users can decide whether to receive these updates or not). The One V3 has an easy-to-use, 2-page navigation interface with improved graphics, which lets you choose to display the most common functions only, and also features a QuickGPSFIX programme that enables you to quickly pinpoint your exact location. And when you get into a spot of bother, you can always call for help with the Help Me function! You can count on the One V3 to get you to your destination on time!

RDS/TMC Traffic Doesn't Work! December 13, 2007 M. Wadlow (UK) 56 out of 56 found this review helpful
I've just upgraded from my tomtom v1 to the newer v3, primarily because of the traffic feature. Pricewise the tomtom traffic seems to make more sense than paying a monthly subscription for traffic on a bluetooth tomtom. The problem is that the aerial doesn't pick up a good enough signal (the uk transmitters are not strong enough)basically making the 'traffic' part of the tomtom useless! There's loads of people complaining about this issue with tomtom - check out pocketgpsworld and look at their forums on this issue, 100's of people with the same problem - can't get a good signal to recieve the traffic information. Other than the traffic issue the unit works flawlessly, i particularly like the map corrections and where you can give names to roads that are listed as 'unknown road' - very good feature. In conclusion if you dont want the traffic, buy the cheaper standard europe model, if you do want the traffic buy the bluetooth version and pay your monthly subscription. Hope this helps your purchase ;-)
TomTom good, traffic bad! February 6, 2008 I. Cummings (Newbury, UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
Like the previous reviewer I think the TomTom itself is good, but while I am able to get a good signal on the traffic receiver, I tend not to get any good traffic information. To be fair I was using this over the Christmas holidays and the traffic info comes from local radio stations so perhaps the radio stations were understaffed and not updating.
Poor value May 17, 2008 Mr. J. R. Southorn (Scotland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Don't even think of buying this. The traffic feature hardly works in the UK. Mine ran out of memory before completing installation of maps.Updated maps are aBOUT 60. The Magellan series blows this away. The online support is dreadful - I spent hours following the instructions which didn't work, then was offerred a return but the return envelope required never arrived. Brilliant Amaxon have promised a full refund.
Don't buy if you have a Mac April 22, 2008 Steve Oddy (France) 3 out of 6 found this review helpful
Do not buy this product if you have a Mac as the support team only have Windows tools to fix problems. I bought a new map but after installing it the device is "unable to store settings: file access error". The only solution from TomTom is to plug the device into a Windows PC and run a Windows exe. So I'm stuck with a device that either won't work or works with an out-of-date map. AVOID.
