This item is incorrect for the TomTom one XL it is supplied with holders for only the TomTom one which is smaller. Do not buy this item it is completely useless.

First impressions are that this mount is far superior to the one supplied with the unit.Not only is it much more versatile in application because of the flexible arm, the adhesion is much greater due to the lock on the sucker.The mount can be applied to surfaces other than the windscreen thus eliminating the tell tale smear on the glass after removal of the sucker.The only previous review that I have read said that it did not fit the unit which suggests that the correct mounting plate was missing from the kit.

As reported by L Rae this item is supplied with holders for only the TomTom One which is smaller than the TomTom One XL, however, if you contact the suppliers they will send you an XL mounting plate by return of post. The mount is a very useful accessory.

This alternative mount kit gives much stronger adhesion to the windscreen than the original one supplied. It is an official TomTom product and contained fittings for both the new TomTom One and the One XL. There was also a self-adhesive plate for fitting elsewhere in the car e.g. dashboard. The original fitting tends to fall off when used in cars with a firm suspension and on poor road surfaces.

Don`t be put off by any comments about it coming with the incorrect fittings, mine came with fittings for both XL & ONE.
A much better product than the original windscreen mount,and can be positioned almost anywhere,my car has a very deep windscreen which posed a problem, but the alternative mount has got over this and has far better suction.
