Garmin Data cable (bare data wires) - not applicable to Geko 101
If You're looking for a straight-forward data transfer cable for your e-trex / e-Map, then you cant really go wrong with this sensibly priced 'Genuine' Garmin product. The e2plug for connection to the unit is a moulded unit & sturdy enough when connected. There are just 3 wires with this cable (coloured Black,Green & White),and the plug, being moulded is not repairable nor can it be adapted if, like me, you'd like to make use of the power (number 4) terminal connector...
Obviously a separate power wire (3.3v Max)can be used...But, in my opinion,you'd be better off using a 4x wired cable & plug,(less messy & fiddly) There are plenty of good after-market accessory leads available out there!...
