My feet are always a nightmare to buy shoes for (I'm between an 8 and a 9, and can never buy shoes without a strap) so I was a bit dubious about buying these without trying them on. I'm glad I did though - they are really comfy with a springy sole and will look great in the summer or under jeans. The strap ensures they stay on but is not too unsightly. Bargain!
